The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular
Hi @creative_writer yes ok got 6 1/2 hours broken sleep. Did Spanish lessons. Got mental health care plan from GP. Had a splitting headache while there and there was a noisy kid. Felt like shit until got home and had lunch and a break.
Got out in the garden to sow globe artichoke seeds, water seeds I sowed over last couple of days and watered some other pots. Came in had a coffee. Now sitting with puss waiting for psychiatrist to call.
Hope you are ok today.

@AuntGlow GP went well got mental health care plan. Psychiatrist due to call in 15 minutes. Solar battery quotes today and tomorrow. Acupuncture Thursday. Had a splitting headache this morning. Really struggled at GP as was a noisy child in waiting room. Did not enjoy drive with splitting headache. Lasted 3 1/2 hours without smoking this morning - getting there. Will try again to stop. Did a small amount of gardening this afternoon.

@GezzaP I hope you are able to rest up, headaches are awful. Happy to hear that you were finally able to get the mental health plan, makes a huge difference in the long run.
@AuntGlow I had my psych appointment yesterday. We have agreed that I won't push it with trauma details at this point in time, I don't think I am ready and I am afraid of de-stabilising. I also do a lot of disassociating. I'll be doing more goal oriented work, but need to figure out ways to get the emotions out and sit with the discomfort.

Re: Feeling caged up
The constant headache is seriously stressful. It gets slightly better after I eat and take painkillers heat pad also helps all for a little while. Doing my exercises also helps for a little while. But I know the ultimate cure is getting a series of proper long nights of sleep.
I’m sorry you are not sitting well with your trauma must be really hard. H

Maybe I am getting ruminatey, I don't know. What if I am better off broken? Talking makes me feel worse, but I have a lot stuck in me, so I feel trapped. I don't like sitting in my body

Re: Feeling caged up
The headaches will go away when I get some decent sleep. @creative_writer Psychiatrist has adjusted meds again. I will keep trying to sleep for at least 8 hours sleep. Hope you can sit better with your trauma.

@GezzaP I hope the pain relief kicks in more for you. You said you had an appoinment with your psychiatrist, were they able to suggest anything for sleep?

Re: Feeling caged up
@GezzaP I just got your response, I hope the new adjustment helps with sleep. Sleep makes a huge difference, I get a lot of physical pain when I have hypomanic symptoms

I’m sorry you feel that way in your body @creative_writer Must be really hard. I have put on belly fat since menopause. I don’t like it but can’t get rid of it. Will go back to doing yoga when my back is ok.
