The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular
@creative_writer Oh that’s what ED stands for. I’m sorry I had to ask and hope that hasn’t upset you.
I can cook ok but find it hard to cook just for myself. I’ll buy some sour cream as well if I make it to the shops. I don’t do big shops prefer to do small ones to get me out of the house more often. I smoked half a smoke before getting into bed. Listening to the radio. Nothing on TV. I like to stretch out my back in bed. Do my exercises on the bed.

Any little thing you can do to nourish and care for yourself right now counts @GezzaP.💛
I am looking forward to hearing about your appointment too - keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that it goes well.
In the meantime, I hope you get some rest tonight. ☺️

Re: Feeling caged up
Okay, someone who specialises in gut-health sounds really helpful, especially given the gut/brain connection. I get how conflicting shifting these patterns would feel... it's not straightforward or simple, is it? But I get the sense that this support will help you so, so much in the longrun. It will take time, but we will be here - you're not in this alone. @creative_writer
We can create a list together whenever you'd like! 💛

@AuntGlow Thanks I’m hanging in there. Listening to radio in bed and texting friend.

Re: Feeling caged up
@AuntGlow I slept ok. Didn’t make it to the shops. Made chilli con carne without onions cause needed to buy more. It was tasty. Made a big batch so I can get a few meals out of it. Put quite a few jalapenos in it but it wasn’t too hot which was good because I didn’t have any sour cream. Will try to go to shops tomorrow to replace things I used up cooking today. Pleased I finally cooked today.
@creative_writer@rav3n@tyme@RiverSeal how are you all today?

Re: Feeling caged up
@GezzaP nah you haven't upset me. Sounds like the meal prep went well. Cooking is an achievement, there is so much involved, the dishes, the food and the cooking process. I'm feeling sort of lightheaded, probably shouldn't have pushed through but I don't have limits.
@AuntGlow I had a GP appointment today to get some scripts. Next appointment will be face to face to get ED plan. My psych has forwarded the assessment to my GP and might go with the dietician I spoke to briefly yesterday, I haven't finalised it yet. I think I am going to need dietician support to manage both ED and gut issues. Gut issues is definitely not helping the ED, bloating does not help body image.

Re: Feeling caged up
@creative_writer Yes it was good to finally get around to cooking. Glad I didn’t upset you. My cat ate nearly all her breakfast again today. She also had a big poop in her litter and made a big mess for me to clean up. Hope you were able to do your workout and shower. Bloating must be awful. Good luck at GP.

Re: Feeling caged up
@GezzaP I had my workout but no shower. I didn’t sweat much today, maybe it’s the cold weather, probably would be a different story when the weather gets warm. I couldn’t be bothered to shower afterwards.
I have the GP appointment booked in for early next month. I think I’ve pretty much finalised on dietician now, probably with go with the one I spoke to with yesterday, she’s the best one I can find for my situation.

Re: Feeling caged up
@creative_writer Well at least you did your workout. I hate showering in the cold so I heat the bathroom before I shower. Will have to go to shops tomorrow so I’ll have to shower. Need to go to chemist and supermarket. My GP is calling me late in the day and she is always really late. I will need to eat something in the afternoon to keep me going. I have really fast metabolism and get the shakes if I don’t eat when I get hungry.
I hope your dietician works out for you and the GP appointment goes well. Fingers crossed for you.
