Oh hope you feel better soon @TAB . At least you made it to the shower. Oil change hay. I don’t know how to do that. My car is due a service directly but it will have to wait as I have a big bill coming up.

Hello @TAB just making a pot of tea. Dont know if lawnmower man is coming by today or later this week. I need to change my sheets on the bed. I was able to get a retro 1980's Actil fitted sheet off ebay a few weeks ago. It was out of its plastic wrap but still folded around the original cardboard. Stiff as anything, it should last longer as its made sturdier with higher thread count. The stuff they make today just rips. None of my linen matches lol I dont care much for interiors

yeah mybottom sheets get thread bare from feet @SmilingGecko top sheet lasts forever.
there are no standards for threadcount. its a meaningless term. Been down this road before.
got 900 TC that was like tissue paper. 200 twice as thick. they just make it up.
i always wanted thick , crisp sheets like in hotels. think its linen/polyester
hotel ones say sheet sets $60 at one site, rang them its one sheet , which is ok , but very unclear and I have bills ha ha

No sign of rain here sunny now @TAB . They said might get a shower or two but don’t reckon. I too should wash my sheets but I really struggle hanging them out and remaking bed. Starting to think about lunch here. Had breakfast early as got up early.

Wow did not know that about thread count @TAB might look it up for more information! I knew of a hotel that put up all its thick used curtains for sale on ebay. There was a tonne of them lol. Great idea for cutting down to size and fitting for your own windows. Very cheap compared to buying new curtains. The things you can do! But yeah the retro sheets are so much better than new sheets. I have a doona cover from the 1980's which is as tough as anything. With supply chains being cut it might be hard replacing things in the future. But yes very happy with Actil fitted sheet. You could always dye them. Had an online friend who used to tie dye her retro sheets!

yes, making bed is easier than it was say 5 years ago @GezzaP ok or before I started going to the gym. I would have to do it in stages and force myself to do it.banking on no more rain for a few hours; its out on the line. one of my lemon trees is flowering again. Two ofthe three looking okay, meanwhile my Washington orange tree is beating the lot. it was smallest when got it , doubled in size just about.
EDIT ordered new connection for gas cylinder to house as well.someone had rounded nut off trying to turn it wrong way (fuel connections are left hand thread) I had attempted to file sides flat in past. sort of worked for a while. figured would cost 100s for plumber todonew one. Guess what . $20-30 on internet lol Called 'gas pigtail' who knew..
