Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi

I have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.

I saw a trauma psychologist for 10 months twice a week, but she stopped seeing me when my safety became an issue while processing the trauma.

My symptoms are so bad now I isolate myself in the car everyday to avoid triggers and flashbacks. Unable to go to strange places, talk to people. Just don't belong anywhere. Anxiety so bad I shake most of the time, chest pain and hard to breathe... This isn't living......

I'm too damaged to be helped, I have tried but no one will help me..... They just tell me its too complex and they are unable to help. I don't know what do do I have no support isolated, alone and scared....

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi Kristin
thanks for all your support and help. I'm sorry im not up to answering everything. But I'm still here and sit infront of the fire for warmth and listen to the sounds of the night and the river.
I appreciate the candle.

I hope everything is going well with you. School holidays are such a busy time and throws the routine out.
thinking of you
Karen

Hi Karen,

That's ok, you don't need to answer everything. I think you have got enough on your plate surviving. You are doing well my friend.

"I wish I could show you ... the astonishing light of your own being."

You are most welcome here by the fire, and the candle will be lit every night.

I have had some stuff stirred up for me, quite painful but taking things quietly to help with self-soothing. Didn't get to sleep last night until after 2am, had a horrid email from a bully at 10 to 9 last night. Pretty upset about it, but I will get some legal advice soon hopefully. My little one and I are enjoying quiet days while we can, and my other two are at their dad's in the city.

Hope for a peaceful river walk endures...

Kind regards,

Kristin

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi Karen,

Thanks for that. I'm just trying to take things slowly and get myself back on track these holidays. I had to cancel my appointment at ECASA today, I was just too exhausted to drive to Ringwood after having so little sleep the last couple of nights. After I got the email it was past 2am when I finally fell asleep. Last night was a bit better, but still around midnight. At least I've been a ble to sleep in a bit.

Take care of you too my friend.

Kind regards,

Kristin

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Glad to hear you are home. I can relate to that strange feeling. I didnt know what to do with myself when i first got home. It didnt feel quite real for a few days and then its been hard to get back into a 'normal' routine. Be gentle with yourself and take your time to settle. Just focus on the present, and i hope that hope will come in time for us both.

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Thanks Lisajane
going from such a structured existence to being home with a 6&8 year old us quite overwhelming.
Let alone having to be responsible for my safety its alot of pressure.
Im sorry you feel that way but at least im not the only one.
take care
