Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi

I have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.

I saw a trauma psychologist for 10 months twice a week, but she stopped seeing me when my safety became an issue while processing the trauma.

My symptoms are so bad now I isolate myself in the car everyday to avoid triggers and flashbacks. Unable to go to strange places, talk to people. Just don't belong anywhere. Anxiety so bad I shake most of the time, chest pain and hard to breathe... This isn't living......

I'm too damaged to be helped, I have tried but no one will help me..... They just tell me its too complex and they are unable to help. I don't know what do do I have no support isolated, alone and scared....

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hey @hiddenite

I'm so very sorry that things have gone so badly today. When things get this bad the most important thing to do is to hold on to that tiny part of you that wants to keep going. Try and stay connected t the knowledge that while you are still here there remains the flicker of potential that things can get better. If you stop being here, that potential disappears, forever.

And you deserve hope. Absolutely. Fundamentally. You deserve hope. After everything you've been through, all the suffering, you have earnt it.

Are you in the MHU tonight?

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Yes alone and very scared all out of hope. Nothing will ever get better just worse.
They wouldn't even let me take my car home or get clothes.
I cannot do this the MHU just adds to my trauma

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Oh @hiddenite

i'm so sorry. They are horrible places to be in when you don't want to be there. Is there any way you can soothe yourself, just the tiniest bit, with the knowledge that it means you're safe tonight?

Will they let you keep your smartphone or lappy (however you're accessing Sane)? In the past when I've been in placesI don't want to be and I'm not sure I can cope with having to live every minute of being there, I just try and 'go to my happy place' for as long as I can.

Maybe you could snuggle into bed and just read through all the funny, sad, lovely, heartwarming stories that live here?

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Thanks I'll try.
but the male nurse that keeps checking on me in my room is a huge trigger. It's going to be a long night.
I wish I could close my eyes and start again
