Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi

I have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.

I saw a trauma psychologist for 10 months twice a week, but she stopped seeing me when my safety became an issue while processing the trauma.

My symptoms are so bad now I isolate myself in the car everyday to avoid triggers and flashbacks. Unable to go to strange places, talk to people. Just don't belong anywhere. Anxiety so bad I shake most of the time, chest pain and hard to breathe... This isn't living......

I'm too damaged to be helped, I have tried but no one will help me..... They just tell me its too complex and they are unable to help. I don't know what do do I have no support isolated, alone and scared....

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

hey there @hiddenite ,

Good to see your still here on the forum.

A case worker or Key worker is one staff person ( in this possible case from a mental health support agency?) who will work with you on a regular basis.

Like once a week for example-

this is good i think because then your not re-telling your history to a different person every time.

This one Staff person will work with you on what you and they think are issues and you both will set goals together. This staff person will help you to achieve these goals and work on these issues.

🙂

I hope this reads right

Thanks baboo
really anxious about the appointment also I have to be assessed again.
so over it.
reliving trauma and so many questions.
Too much pressure. ....scared

Hi Kristin
I hope you are able to get some rest.
I read lots too but the last few months I've found that I am unable to.
I wish I could stop what is happening to me. I feel like a failure so worthless.
Maybe you will be able to paddle in the river tonight and relax
take care

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Oh but to have just one worker you can touch base with will be the best- some one that one day you might be able to trust!

I have hope, what time tomorrow do you see them?

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

1:00 just worried if I trust someone I will get hurt.
if I tell them how bad things are they will put me back in the mhu and I can't go back.
so many what ifs. ......
im all out of hope.....
it just gets worse

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

these will be the concerns you tell your case worker- that your "goal" is not to go back to mhu. Then it will be the case workers job to help you achieve it.

Do you think your so unwell that you will be asked to go back? Or do you think, with help- you can still live out on your own. Actually, do you still live at your parents house?

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Im still with my parents.
I was discharged from hospital because there was no bed in the mhu.
the repatriation hospital won't take me because im not in their catchment area. They specialize in ptsd of this severity.
I cannot deterioate any further or I won't be around.
Options .....running low

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

A case worker comes in and comes in to either : assess you for someone to come in and spend as long as you need doing things you need doing.

I was assessed and get in two case workers. One spends 3 hours per week/ fortnight with me. Her job is to cook my dinners, keep me company, help me budget and write letters: anything I want her to do.
It's wonderful because I tend to isolate myself.
Last year I had to write a letter to my dad's lawyer. We spent one hour discussing what to say then wrote it out and sent off.
Big phew. They are there for you.
The other lady comes in and cleans for 2 hours per month. We work together on that.

You truly are a battler :0)
