Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi

I have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.

I saw a trauma psychologist for 10 months twice a week, but she stopped seeing me when my safety became an issue while processing the trauma.

My symptoms are so bad now I isolate myself in the car everyday to avoid triggers and flashbacks. Unable to go to strange places, talk to people. Just don't belong anywhere. Anxiety so bad I shake most of the time, chest pain and hard to breathe... This isn't living......

I'm too damaged to be helped, I have tried but no one will help me..... They just tell me its too complex and they are unable to help. I don't know what do do I have no support isolated, alone and scared....

Hey @hiddenite, maybe the online counselling is an option? You might not go into mhu...just typing or talking can really help...thanks @NikNik for posting those online options as well...take care Karen we think you're valuable... Please keep reaching out...

Hey @hiddenite ,

Using one of those numbers won't necessarily equal ending up in mhu - the purpose is for you to talk to someone to help you through the night.

Do you have any upcoming appointments booked in with your GP?

Those techniques sound like a great idea - there's that courage we always refer to.

As @Alessandra1992 said, keep reaching out for help

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Dear Karen,

Sorry you are having such a horrendous time. Getting some advice online about your new meds might be helpful? And then you could keep a screenprint copy for yourself too.

I'm telling you straight you deserve to be treated a lot better than this! Good help - caring people who will work with complex trauma - is out there. It is very hard to find though, took me years to find. I get so narky with the MH system. There is far too much of this revolving door stuff happening to too many people. It is not fair and it's cruel.

Reminding yourself at this time of how much your girls need you (and they do, because no one else is their precious beloved mum) and trying to use mindfulness, are really good strategies. Be a river stone, let these waves wash over and past you, you will endure and remain. I have attached a link to my favourite song (about being a river stone) I hope you like it.

Please take care of you my friend.

Hope for a healing journey endures...

Kindest regards,

Kristin

Thanks everyone.
I know im extremely unwell and crying out for help. Pleading, begging for the guidance the strength to find the help but the doors keep being slammed shut.
it's not right to tell someone who desperetly wants help that it is not available.
Discharged from hospital being told I need to be in a mhu but there are no beds.
what happens if I cannot hold on long enough for someone to want to help me.

you are all fighting your own battles which makes your support even more special. Which I greatly appreciate.
Kristin your words bring me comfort thank you. I hope you are managing ok and are safe.
Karen

Hi @hiddenite

I'm glad you're online tonight. I wish it was under different circumstances though.

Did you go back to mhu / hospital today or last night? I'm curious to know if you are referring to a new incident.

It's terrible that there's not enough beds. Like you said last night, the system is a mess. But like I said last night, this is not a reflection on you or that people don't want to help. Please keep on reaching out - go to hospital or call 000.

We are here and we want to help
