Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi

I have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.

I saw a trauma psychologist for 10 months twice a week, but she stopped seeing me when my safety became an issue while processing the trauma.

My symptoms are so bad now I isolate myself in the car everyday to avoid triggers and flashbacks. Unable to go to strange places, talk to people. Just don't belong anywhere. Anxiety so bad I shake most of the time, chest pain and hard to breathe... This isn't living......

I'm too damaged to be helped, I have tried but no one will help me..... They just tell me its too complex and they are unable to help. I don't know what do do I have no support isolated, alone and scared....

Hi Kristin

I understand the legal system is very frustrating but the process has to be followed to keep you safe.

The only place I felt safe and truly understood was with the safe future foundation. I trusted them with my life and never doubted their dedication. They were always there, and held my hand through the toughest times, I was at the point for safety reasons they were going to make me disappear.

They will support you unconditionally, keep the faith, they will help if you allow and they won't let go.

Please look after yourself you must be exhausted but know that you are doing all the right things.

Stay safe,

Karen

@hiddenite

Thanks so much my friend 🙂 One foot in front of the other, eyes as wide open as I can keep them. Walking on because no way I'm going back!

I was just reading this thread and I thought you might find the comments by @Rick @kato @dwoods77 validating, as they certainly resonate with yours on MHUs.

Kind regards,

Kristin

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi Karen,

How are you tonight? I hope you are ok my friend. It is unusual not to hear from you.

I got through the day, although not without a panic attack in Eastland at lunchtime. I really hate big shopping centres, I find them overwhelming and noisy. But it was the only place I felt ok to go in the lunchtime court recess where I was unlikely to run into my ex, or if I did that I would be surrounded by other people. I panicked when my phone was nearly flat and I couldn't get in touch with anyone to pick up my little girl - I couldn't even type properly to email school asking them to ring the emergency contact list - it was really horrible.

I was already exhausted and triggered by the stress of waiting around at the court and having all but bumped into my ex when I first went into the building. The result in the end was worth it though. He didn't contest it, and it's in place for 12 months. My best friend rang one of the other school mums and asked her to pick up my little girl, which she was very generously happy to do.

Take care my friend.

Holding hope for you to get some truly compassionate helpful help...

Kind regards,

Kristin

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi Karen,

It's so good to hear from you.

Sorry I'm not sure I understand what you mean about the men in blue, but it doesn't sound very helpful. Do you mean they called an ambulance (staffed by two male ambos) to come and get you? I'm so sorry.

So are you still at the MHU or are you back out?

Hope for kindness and being heard endures...

Take care of you my friend.

Kindest regards,

Kristin
