Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi

I have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.

I saw a trauma psychologist for 10 months twice a week, but she stopped seeing me when my safety became an issue while processing the trauma.

My symptoms are so bad now I isolate myself in the car everyday to avoid triggers and flashbacks. Unable to go to strange places, talk to people. Just don't belong anywhere. Anxiety so bad I shake most of the time, chest pain and hard to breathe... This isn't living......

I'm too damaged to be helped, I have tried but no one will help me..... They just tell me its too complex and they are unable to help. I don't know what do do I have no support isolated, alone and scared....

Hi Sandy

Thanks , funny I can see hope for others, and show compassion, but unable to do that for myself.

Unable to work that out...

Hope all is good for you

Karen

That's why we do this together; we help each other to build hope and trust in ourselves..that we are good caring and loving people that just have stuff to work with.. That stuff can be hard to navigate though!!

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Not wrong

After spending Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and today being interviewed by the Cat team I'm exhausted.

As if I don't relive this stuff enough, they want to see me again tomorrow.

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

That must suck.. A lot..if, however , this long process results in you getting the help you need..then it will be worth every shitty moment because the best is yet to come...
Wishing you the best in life, love and happiness and because we know @Rick, @kristin @peace @PeppiPatty @Loopy @kenny66 and @everyone, that Hope Endures!! Darkest hour, darkest second, the tide will turn..

Yes I get so confused in the appointment I forget to ask questions and find it so difficult to get across what I want to say.

Once I've left I can't even remember what they have said. So frustrating.

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi Karen,

Thanks so much for your thoughts and kind concern. I really appreciate it .

Tomorrow I have to meet the lady from Safe Futures at the Magistrate's Court for the intervention order, then on Wed they are coming over to look at the security at my home (it isn't - very secure that is). This is such wonderful practical help. I am very grateful to them, and thanks for telling me about your experience as it helped give me confidence that I can trust, and work with, them.

I've had to cancel my ECASA appointment Wed for this fortnight because it clashed with SFcoming out, but the reality is that ending up with appointments down in the city 4 out of 5 days this week I was on a one-way trip to mania. So I think this is a better self-care call.

Hopefully I will get a bit more sleep tonight. I slept very little last night - I think nerves about tomorrow. I don't really feel a lot of faith in the legal process being just. i will have to wait and see.

I hope the CAT team are actually finding you some real help with all they are putting you through. I feel like giving them a good hoof up the backside at times like this. Thinking of you my friend. Remember the trickling, gurgling, rushing river in the midst of this. It whispers consoling mindful notes which the birds echo in songs.

Kindest regards,

Kristin
