Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Hi

I have been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, social anxiety, and depression.

I saw a trauma psychologist for 10 months twice a week, but she stopped seeing me when my safety became an issue while processing the trauma.

My symptoms are so bad now I isolate myself in the car everyday to avoid triggers and flashbacks. Unable to go to strange places, talk to people. Just don't belong anywhere. Anxiety so bad I shake most of the time, chest pain and hard to breathe... This isn't living......

I'm too damaged to be helped, I have tried but no one will help me..... They just tell me its too complex and they are unable to help. I don't know what do do I have no support isolated, alone and scared....

Dear Karen,

I hope and pray that somehow this experience tomorrow might be different & much better for you - that they will really hear you. And if you are admited to a MHU that this too is a much gentler more nurturing experience. I truly wish I could help more.

Please remember that we will continue holding you in our thoughts and prayers, and that through it the river and the birds will be there. It will flow on, and you will return to see them once again. Try to hold a picture of the river you love in your heart as your safe place, wherever you are. Can you hold your lovely tree of life and imagine the river? I hope this may help. Blessings.

Hope for helpful help, amidst the fear of more trauma, endures...

Kindest regards,

Kristin

Hi Kristin

Your words bring me so much comfort when I'm so overwhelmed and in a dark place.

I greatly appreciate your time and effort especially when you are fighting your own battles.

There are no words mine are not as beautiful as yours, but thank you.

Take care

Karen

Hey Karen,

I'm so glad that I can offer this to you in a dark place. We have all been in dark places in our lives. Similar or different - surviving them takes courage and hope. Sometimes we need to borrow one or even some of both. Shine a bit of light on each other's paths. This is a gift we all have - including you my friend.

Sometimes words aren't needed, they just need to be true to be beautiful. Sending you hugs and hope,

for it does endure...

Kindest regards

Kristin

PS Let us know how tomorrow goes, we'll be with you in spirit.

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

After two hours reliving the trauma, they want me to go back tonight. How much is a person supposed to manage in one day. I feel so overwhelmed and scared, and they wonder why I have problems with my safety. This is enough to tip me over the edge again. Such a fine line I'm walking.

Feel like I'm going under

Karen

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Dear Karen,

I have been thinking of you through this day, and holding hope for you. I know the feeling of walking the fine line - I think sometimes it's like a tigh-rope walk on ra2or wire. You get cut just walking and if you fall either way it's worse.

Well done that you managed to get in there, that took a lot of courage. I really don't see how they can be so thick with the unhelpful ways they are treating you.

Keep taking care my friend, you are doing so well in spite of all this.

Kindest regards,

Kristin

HI @hiddenite

I've been following your journey on these forums, and I just wanted to echo @kristin 's words - you are doing so well in spite of all of this.

I think take heart of all the massive achievements you are actually making - you actually managed to get in there - that's a great thing.

You said you fee like you are walking a fine line. Think about that a minute....you're WALKING. That's a "DOING" word. In other words, even though you might not feel it, we see that you are DOING something. That's strength right there Karen, believe me!!

You are DOING well.....and you have friends here.

Hobbit.

Re: Despair *potential trigger: abuse*

Thanks Kristen and Hobbit

The waiting is causing huge anxiety, skyrocketing. They said they would ring to tell me when to come in tonight that was at 12:00.

Still nothing, I'm so sick of being treated like this don't they realize I don't need any more of this.

So much dark stuff now......
