Potato is life!!

Hiya Forums Pals!! By popular request (care of several superstar attendees in one of our mental health recovery groups, and a cracker of an ice breaker), this space is for all lovers of potatoes, and all their glorious forms!!

We ask now the whole forums community to join us in our admiration of this fine root vegetable. But, this may split the community asunder as we discuss....

What do you think is the superior form of the humble potato?

Is it the classic hash brown? The noble potato gem? Or the oft-overlooked mash? Maybe something obscure, like gnocchi?

Putine!! Cheese curds and gravy over hot chips. It's a Canadian dish that I become fond of when I was there.

I make it with melted cheese and gravy.....yum, now I've got potato munchies! 🥔🥔🍟

@Former-Member yes! Potato scallops! Coles sell them but they're not cheap. We have them as a treat. Now I want to get the deep fryer out and start frying some tatoes!

i loveee cheesy potato too @Oaktree! so hard for me to pick my top fav... it used to be hashbrowns and potato gems. then i had a spicy wedges phase, herbed chips phase, mashed potato phase, tornado potato phase... and now maybe i need to look for a new phase!

@ENKELI (Trigger Warning) Down here in Victoria they are known by their correct name of potato cakes, interstate they call them potato scallops, I think they may be known by other names as well.

We’ve named this cat a potato samosa (my sisters idea) because we clearly very mature
