Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

Yeah I loved most aspects of my job @tyme but there was unrelenting pressure from management and a lot of moral injury in my job

Re: Tillogram

That sounds hectic. I'm glad you were able to step away when you needed it most @Till23

Re: Tillogram

Hi @Till23!,

The LES workshop sounds so interesting. Were you able to connect with people who have been through a similar experience?

Also, how is sport going? Are you prepping for your comps?

The travel to other states sounds fun! Sometimes a change of scenery can help us to shift out of our more sticky feelings, so I wonder if this may help?

PS: We are working on glimmers at the moment in my intention setting thread - do you have any glimmers that have come up this week? ✨

Re: Tillogram

Hi @AuntGlow how are you?

Yes the whole workshop was LE people and 2 facilitators so couldn't avoid other similar people!

Lots of sport training and lots of comps coming up, I'm busy with that

If I'm not tagged in a thread I don't usually visit it these days and couldn't find the thread on searching for 'intention" it just said No Results - so haven't pursued it. It was sunny here today so that's a glimmer

Popping my head into your realm @Till23 to say a quick hello! 😊

Sounds like you're still keeping very busy - sounds like you were courage in going to the workshop despite the difficult feelings. 😊 (go Till!!)

Glad you're still doing a lot fo your sport, as I know you love it (from reading your posts) and that you are very talented in it.

Can relate to the keeping self busy but then also being careful of burnout. 😬 hope you keep balancing it well to keep you in the safe zone 😊.

Sending you positive wishes!

Re: Tillogram

Hi @AlwaysMyself lovely to hear from you. Sorry I have been absolutely abysmal about keeping up with posts. I have been especially busy just lately.

The workshop took up more time than the actual attendance time as we wrote our stories and presented them to the group. It was nerve wracking to say your story out loud to a group of strangers and of course we listened to other people's experiences. The idea is to, at some stage, use your story to help in some way regarding suicide related issues.

I am average at my sport, but lucky with it mostly. I do try really hard to improve myself and participate in things related to it. Sometimes it is a bit costly, so I have to always be wary of that. I happen to have a few comps coming up so that is keeping me busy. Plus I've got club admin related to that.

I'm still volunteering at the soup kitchen type place once a week and sometimes help at events.

Plus I've got a couple of other things going on so yes busy.

I have been a bit physically ill lately but not terible, just annoying really.

I use physical activity and "doing" things to manage (or possibly avoid) my MH issues, so the busyness has some MH benefits

Thanks for thoughts

I hope you are well. I see you responding to lots of posts on forums so I hope you are also balancing your own needs with helping others

Re: Tillogram

There is no pressure for you to "keep up with posts" @Till23 😊 - or not from me at the very least!

Sharing such emotive and personal stories can be really scary; not knowing how others will respond or what they will think. 💜

I try to remind myself that spending money on something i love and that supports positive mental health is a positive expenditure and supporting my health - just like seeing a doctor would be. 🙂

Yeah I try to balance between the "helping others makes me feel my life has something meaningful" and not getting too tired and exhausted (emotionally and physically). Ive been very productive the past 2 weeks in life-admin, so I haven't been on the forums as much. But then when im tired and not on the forums but not busy, sometimes my mind goes to worse places, so posting supportive messages to others can distract me and redirect my attention also. So its a weird line to know sometimes 😅.

Take care my friend! 🥰

Re: Tillogram

Yes I agree @AlwaysMyself spending money on things that support good mental health is a good expenditure, but you need to have the actual money to spend it 😂

Good on you for getting your life admin up to speed. I am behind in that area. I agree also that finding something meaningful to do is important for supporting MH and I totally understand the distraction of doing things. And you are combining your distraction method with something useful

Re: Tillogram

Hello @Till23,

I am well, slowly adjusting to my new place. There's a lot going on in my world at the moment actually - it sounds like it's the same with you!

I know you haven't been around much and there's no pressure at all to engage when you're busy. Any input you share will be meaningful, remember that. 🥰

That's okay! It's here: https://saneforums.org/t5/Social-space/Sunday-Intention-Setting/td-p/1673912/page/22

Ah, yes - the sun is a very warm and welcome glimmer. 🌞✨

Re: Tillogram

Hi @AuntGlow I'm glad you're adjusting to your new place. It takes a while in my experience, but that's just my view, different for each person I suppose..

. I'm not on the forums much these days.

. I can't really think of any glimmers (apart from it being sunny), so I think, it's probably best not to say anything at all. Otherwise I'm just faking it and that, to me, would seem pointless on a MH forum.
