Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

Yes I feel lucky @tyme I had the interview about 2 weeks beforehand. I felt Not Good Enough when I was there and did I really deserve to be there, which is standard for me. I found the interactions in the breaks difficult because I always feel so different from other people. But it seemed to go ok I think.

I suppose if you've felt anxious for decades you learn to do things to cope so you can keep on showing up. I used to use things before fidget spinners were a thing. I don't bite my nails or anything that shows, which is lucky. I do a LOT of doodling

Re: Tillogram

So glad you went through with it even if it felt uncomfortable @Till23

It seems to always be the case. I reckon i stay busy as a way to not feel that discomfort which is not always good because it can lead to burn out.

Re: Tillogram

Same as carer's burnout @tyme , @Till23

Re: Tillogram

Oh yeah @tyme I worked through burn out for years. I know I am burning myself right now but it feels better to have the distraction, so I don't have to think.

It's just a flight strategy.

I have just now, volunteered to help out another team, so need to get up early tomorrow.

I used to work 6 and a half days a week before and I am talking like 10hr days that's probably why I'm still here. I am working myself into the ground but it's better than the feeling of horribleness and Not Good Enough, shame etc etc

Re: Tillogram

I can totally relate @Till23 !

But then again, I love my work here.

Re: Tillogram

Yeah @Shaz51 I was definitely in carer's burnout looking after dad. I had to stop working toward the end. I went back after he passed away, but when it was 24/7 it was bad. Unpaid caring is hard
