Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

Wow! That's pretty awesome @Till23

It sounds hectic, but also super exciting!

The lived experience roles sound amazing! I've never considered the difference between lived experience and peer roles. I get what you mean though.

All the best with this lived experience workshop. I'm preparing for BPD Awareness week which is next month. Preparing resources and things.

Have a good night and will see you soon.

Re: Tillogram

@tyme is that BPD stuff for SANE or for other organisations. I know you are off now, so can't answer the question now. I feel I need to learn more about other MH diagnoses. How that is for people, because I really only know how my stuff feels and even people with my diagnoses of course have different symptoms and perceptions of their problems.

I think peer is talking to other people with MH issues, whereas LE is more educating people without MH diagnoses, or organisations about what having MH issues means for everyday living. That's probably not a good explanation of it though.

Re: Tillogram

I'm going to chew on that one @Till23 re peer vs lived experience. It's an interesting point.

As for the BPD stuff, it's for another organisation. I help out each year. I'm linked in with a few BPD organisations but they are all sorta linked.

Anyway, I'm off now. Will chat shortly!

Re: Tillogram

Hi @tyme I'm ok, I'm pretty busy. The weather held out and I was able to get a last training in with my own team before the state comp on the weekend. I think I went alright. I still feel nervous about weekend comp though

How are you going

I'm pretty okay @Till23 .

Also, your sport event! Sounds so exciting!

Re: Tillogram

Is this the niece that sometimes stays over at yours at night @tyme ?

I hope the weather holds out for the sport competition on weekend, especially because I don't like driving if it's raining too heavy - it's about 3hrs there and then 3hr back, plus competition over about 7hours so it will be a long day.

Re: Tillogram

Awww @Till23 ,

I'm sorry to hear that things have been hard with the flashback. I hope these roles will provide you some satisfaction and keep you going.

I think that's what helped me. The more I shared my story and reached out to others, the more well I became.

I hope you find what works for you. I'm about to log off so I'll see you when I'm on next.
