Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @Till23! So nice to see you around tonight.

What I mean is that if you are able to take some time to ground and regulate before coming to the forums, it may allow things to feel different for you when your triggers are more present?

Of course, we want you to be able to come here when you're needing co-regulation too! But I am just thinking about the idea of balance and how there may be some occasions where one mode of regulation is more suitable than the other - I hope that makes sense. 💛

Re: Tillogram

Well @tyme I actually had something pretty positive happen today, but I am reticent to mention it on the forums, because I don't really want to get a similar response to what I had previously when I mentioned it. I don't want to appear arrogant or whatever. But I will briefly say that I went to an interview with a Lived Experience opportunity and the organisers were quite enthusiastic.

Re: Tillogram

Wow @Till23 ! That sounds sooo amazing! You are totally suited to it. It sounds like they value your expertise so much, just like we do.

I really hope you find a way through this little rough patch so you can blossom and shine. You have so much in you.

As I've always said, your peer support skills are next level!

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @AuntGlow thanks for the suggestion. I wasn't sure what "there may be some occasions where one mode of regulation is more suitable than the other". I'm really interested to know if you feel as though I am not regulated when I am here?

Re: Tillogram

The current opportunity is not actually a peer support role @tyme. It's a lived experience role.

Anyhow I've probably said too much already and you've got other important things to attend to

Re: Tillogram

Hi @Till23,

Yes, I see you as someone who is regulated and a great support to others. 🥰 I am mainly referring to the times where you have shared that the forums aren't feeling so good for you. I think this is a situation where all of us (myself included) need a moment to recalibrate. My thinking is that this could make the forums feel lighter for you again? But let me know your thoughts, I could be absolutely wrong! 💛

Re: Tillogram

Thanks for the clarification @AuntGlow

I will probably just use a wait and see approach.

Sometimes it's difficult to appear light when you don't feel it. I don't know any particular techniques that will accelerate the process of making the forums seem lighter.

Anyhow you are probably about to clock off

Re: Tillogram

I think following what feels right in the moment is a great idea @Till23.

Maybe we don't need to accelerate the process, but rather, practice listening to the body and what it needs moment-to-moment? ☺️

I am!! But I will be back for a few hours to help out tomorrow night. I hope you have a great evening, let's chat more then. 💛

Heya @Till23 ,

How are you today?

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @tyme I'm a bit all over the place. I just can't help myself when I see a post I think I might be be able to provide some support. But still worry that what I post might not be helpful.

I have a heap of stuff going on at the moment

I just found out tonight that I have been given a lead role in a mixed team (individuals from different clubs around the state in one team) at a state level event this weekend which I am now "panicking" about - will I be good enough. It will also be a huge day since I have to travel to Sydney so it will be over 12 hrs between leaving here and getting back and doing sport all day.

So, I don't really know how I am at the moment.

I am just going to have to find a way to just do one thing at a time
