Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @NightFury it's a bit anxiety provoking now because it is dark and I can't see outside easily. Currently gale force winds and reports of trees down, haven't heard of any near me. I still have power but some people I know have lost power today. It's still raining and now with the wind increasing it's not as nice as listening to the rain on the roof.

Yes, I read you got yourself a lawn mower, good on you.

Tomorrow morning, I must go out to shed and get my ride-on up on blocks and make sure I've got the deck up as high as it goes. I moved a lot of my firewood up this afternoon to make sure it doesn't get soaked. The back shed wasn't flooding then, but it will be now

Re: Tillogram

Oh my friend, it sounds pretty scary @Till23

Hopefully the storm passes soon and the water starts to soak in or to recede. I have everything crossed for you. Stay safe!

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @NightFury - I'm thinking I won't be getting a lot of sleep tonight, but plenty of others have it worse than me

Re: Tillogram

Toby is a maltese shih tzu @Till23

How did your night go Hon? Did the water level stay down?

What sport do you play? I no longer do any sport but used to do a lot. I had too many bad injuries - the worst is back/neck injuries that meant I had to stop all sport. It was really hard to do so but I had no choice.

Re: Tillogram

He looks very cute @Zoe7 but he looks like he could be cheeky

Thanks for checking in. Water levels are holding, it's still rainy and windy.

Now it is light I can see everything that needs cleaning up and fixing up, but no bad damage.

I have decided not to say what my sport is on the forums, because it is not a popular one, so I want to maintain my anonymity.

I do play social table tennis as well though

I had to take a pause from sport when I got cancer, but I was able to get back to it pretty quickly after radiotherapy finished. I only started table tennis after my second cancer.

I am lucky that I can still do sport though. I use physical activity to help with my MH, so I am very glad I can still do something

Re: Tillogram

Fair enough re: sport @Till23 👍

Tobes is cheeky and VERY spoilt 🤪

Been to the supermarket and now watching a replay of the footy from last night. Need to get back to work soon but having a rest first.

It is good there is not too much damage with the flooding but still frustrating having to fix/sort out things from it.

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @Zoe7 I suppose I'm not worried about the cleaning up/fixing up things post weather event.

I choose to live where I do (to an extent - I mean if I had a spare couple of million.....).

I don't like living in cities or suburbs with near neighbours etc, so since I've been an adult I have always lived in places with easy access to nature/close to bush etc. That can sometimes mean you are more prone to adverse outcomes from weather events/bushfires so I accept the cleaning up etc as a bit of an offset to my luck in being able to live so close to nature.

I haven't ventured out yet, but will definitely need to tomorrow for table tennis and need to shop.

I'm glad you are able to have a chance to rest before launching into your project for school.

I'm sure you fur babies are appreciating their time with you (may not be as interested in footy - btw what type of footy did you watch)

Re: Tillogram

Yep @Shaz51 no major damage, just cleaning up/fixing small things thankfully

Golf hey, I always think of golf as a sport that people with money play.

Yes, well, it's been colder here that where you are @Shaz51 but it has snowed in Queensland recently I think. It has definitely snowed in all the "alps" (high altitudes) in NSW including ones fairly close to me, so it's cold here. We are having record making temperatures or lengths of time with low temps around me.

Anyhow chopping some firewood will warm me up

What are you up to today?
