Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @AuntGlow how are you going? How is your respiratory infection and asthma going?

Also the dreaded house hunt. I've read a few people on the forums house-hunting.

I do not know if the psych's reactions are due to her own stuff I am just surmising.

I'm not sure if you are talking about the comment I made on "SANE'S INNOVATE RAP - What does reconciliation look like in our community?" or something I wrote on this thread?

Overall today I am feeling not too bad.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @Till23!

It's a little better - a friend of mine organised a salt therapy session for me. It was very strange haha I sat in a room covered in salt, the air was filtered with salt too. It's said to help with issues like asthma - I was blowing my nose a lot, so I guess it worked? 🤧😂

Yes, there are a few of us. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the other lovely humans needing housing.

Okay, I understand. It is still a very valid reflection!

OH, sorry - I meant your last comment to me.

I am glad you're not feeling too bad. What's made you smile today? ☺️

I really hope you're giving your body lots of love and nurturing. You deserve it. 💛

Re: Tillogram

That's an interesting "treatment" @AuntGlow

It is well known that nebulised hypertonic saline (aka salt water) helps with a variety of respiratory problems including asthma. I sometimes use salt water nasal/sinuses rinses when I have a lot of coughing or I have sinusitis.

I pretty much only smile as a social nicety. Otherwise I would rarely smile. I don't know when I last laughed, definitely not since my dog passed away. @tyme

Content/trigger warning

Anyhow I just do some physical activity

Re: Tillogram

This is a really really good point @Till23 . Thanks for raising it. (Oh, I mean the spoiler)

I'll have a look into it.

How are you today anyway? Sorry, I was really behind yesterday, and I never even really got to go back to your post last night.

Re: Tillogram

Yes! It was. I think I preferred my osteo appointment hahah @Till23

Salt water is wonderfully healing - maybe that is why we often feel better after a swim in the ocean?

That is understandable... I am sure you are missing them terribly. Do you have any other pets? I don't think I have asked.

I hear you, and I appreciate you reminding me about your relationship with your body. Should I avoid referring to the body as a whole? Please let me know.

And is your relationship to your mind a bit different? Or similar?

Essentially, I am just wanting to support you taking care of yourself, so the more I know - the more I can help! 💕

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @tyme I have answered your email on the trigger warning problem. Thanks for looking into it. I feel it's a fairly important glitch if it happens regularly, or again.

How are you going?

That's alright @tyme (about not having time to get back to me yesterday) I think I probably say too much anyhow.

Re: Tillogram

Hey @Till23 ,

In a way, I am glad to see that you have written, "I feel as though I have annoyed yet another person on the forums".

It separates you and your feeling.

Whilst it may be true (or not), is it possible in life that we please everyone?

I can see your intention is not to upset anyone in any way, yet the nature of working with complex mental health is purely this - complexity.

As much as we try to box situations, circumstances and people in 'boxes', the reality is that we just can't.

There are some people who will keep following us and tell us we have done them 'wrong', and there are also people who will follow us to tell us we have done right.

What I have found most helpful is to read my own cues and know when I need to step back.

Thoughts?

I have strong faith and hope in you @Till23

Re: Tillogram

I want to respond to all of this properly tomorrow @Till23, because I am finishing soon.

But I wanted to say I agree with @tyme here.

I think you do a lovely job of supporting others and we appreciate your contributions immensely. You are doing your best. I can see that your inner narrative is taking hold here and invite that voice to soften, to allow for feeling, and to encourage self-compassion. And maybe from this place, we can look at what you're really needing right now to feel safe and reassured? 💛

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @tyme

I realise it is getting to the end of your shift.

I need to go off to volunteering tomorrow. It's currently raining quite heavily here and that is supposed to continue so I need to find all my waterproof stuff so I don't look like a drowned rat when I walk there.

Yes I suppose maybe I step in too much when people say they are feeling a bit alone, or I feel they might think no one is answering their posts. Maybe I will step right back from the forums

Thanks for chatting, sorry I'm not a very social person.

Hope you ahve a good night
