Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

@Till23

I hope you results today were all clear.

It must have been awesome, and extremely powerful with all of those other cancer survivors. What a memory that must make.

I do find it quite a privilege, and not to mention using something so negative in my life as a positive, to get the opportunity to share my story in an interview. I even had someone from a cancer magazine in the States randomly contacted me asking for an interview. He did some research and one of the media things I did here last year came up. So he wanted a personal perspective to got with the article he was writing. It's things like that that help me to make some sense of what i'm dealing with.

I had my latest psych appointment today and we talked a bit about the long term stress effects from not knowing as well as really not getting much time at all to talk to the specialists and ask question and try to get any clarity. It really is difficult, especially when you have to deal with some much of it by yourself.

As for how i've been doing...I started to write a whole lot, but decided to just go with struggling and overwhelmed.

But it was great to hear from you and that your trip was one to remember. I'm really happy for you that is was such a great adventure.

Re: Tillogram

Hey @Till23 , I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I can only imagine how 'different' home must feel. I am reading along and catching up on your posts about your trip.

When I came back from the US, I didn't think too much about it. I stuck to the time that was on my phone which changed with every time zone I was in.

I wonder if this will help with you jet lag?

Re: Tillogram

Hi @Appleblossom - I got used to days in the 30s and swimming in the sea so currently anywhere in Australia is cold for me! I bought ingredients for soup today and will make it tomorrow.

I hope you’ve been well.

Re: Tillogram

Ha @AuntGlow thankfully I won’t have to live off my credit card, at least not at the moment, although everything was expensive in countries I visited. Hence lentil soup now!

I saw your intention thread and also the newsletter thread. I have offered something for newsletter. I will think about intentions. Currently I’m thinking it could be I intend to know what day it is 🤣

I am getting some photos together for a bit of a post on trip

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @Shaz51 everything is stable for me cancer wise.

Good to see your progressing with your dialysis situation

Re: Tillogram

Hi @MJG017 I’m currently stable cancer- wise so just routine follow-up imaging (unless I have symptoms).

I do find writing things down helps me overall, it varies but overall I’d say it’s helpful

We had clear nights, but because we were in cities or towns overnight the light pollution interfered with star gazing.

There were hundreds of people linking hands to make shape for drone to fly over the day before event this time and that was an amazing experience.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @tyme yes I did the same changing my watch. The trip was pretty full on so was actually tired every day, but with the addition of our nights here being my days there it’s hard to sleep at night. I’m slowly changing my body clock though. It’s also 30 degrees cooler here!

I didn’t have jet lag going over because flying east to west (as you would have been coming back from US). Flying west to east seems to be harder somehow.

Re: Tillogram

Yippee @Till23 is back!! Hello hello!!

I have been catching up on everything, sounds like it was a really incredible, moving journey! I am really sorry to hear about your pooch though, that's devastating. For me, sometimes stuff like that won't 'hit' fully till I've slowed down so... if it's all kinda catching up to you at once, that's very legit!

I hope you're revovering from your jet lag ok and slowly getting back into the swing of things 💜

Instead of the normal question about highlights, imma ask you... what was the WEIRDEST or most BIZARRE moment during your trip? No obligation to answer, just thought it might be fun 😉

Re: Tillogram

I think that was the hardest for me... the change in temperature!!! From nearly 40 degrees to 8 degrees!

Hope the jet lag eases soon! @Till23

And the idea of watching for missiles doesn't sound great!

How have you been settling back in otherwise anyway?
