Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

I think I have written something similar (or there part of) on that thread (or maybe SANE: Services) @tyme Happy for it to stay here as it is an ongoing conversation with @Till23 👍

You are welcome to copy and pass on though if that would be more appropriate.

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @Zoe7 . I've collected it from my end already @Zoe7 . I just wanted to make sure it was not 'forgotten'. Really appreciate it.

As for going back to work, I hear there is a lot of anxiety. The kids returned last week, so they are sorta easing into their second week now. Do you get a day without kids before the kids return?

Can you think of anything that would make returning easier for you? I never asked, but you work full time? Because it's a lot.

Re: Tillogram

Hey @Till23 ,

Thank you for your post. I hope the tennis was okay to watch. I haven't watched the tennis in years!

It's interesting that you are able to notice a pattern in your affect as the day progresses. Is this something you can share with your doc? I used to have a mood diary. It helped the clinicians look at trends and patterns in my mood. I also kept one when I was in PARC. It was good to see that eating and sleeping was a strong indicator of mood.

I might be off by the time you respond. If so, I'll see you tomorrow.

Re: Tillogram

We have Mon-Wed without kids @tyme then Thursday and Friday they return. The following week, the Monday is a public holiday so we are only at school for 4 days. I find that a really great start back for the year ...kind of ease into it. Yes I work fulltime and I do find some weeks it is A LOT. I fit in a lot around work also (as you would know) so have to divide my time really well. I used to spend hours each evening planning and organising for the classroom but I don't even do half of that now ...I suppose that comes with time and experience. I also 'get out of school' in my lunch break - usually just driving up the road for a bit or some days home to see my fur babies. It is enough time to get home, give them a kiss and cuddle and leave to get back to school ...but that break in the day is really important - especially on after school meetings days as I do not get home to later.

I have some PRNs that I can utilise for the first couple of days (if needed). I know once I am there and set up it will be a little easier. I have not gone into school in the holidays - was going to this week but my anxiety was too high. I know I can get things put away and sorted pretty quickly so I am not concerned about that but leaving my fur babies will be hard.

Re: Tillogram

Thanks for that thorough explanation @Zoe7.. Although,, I felt I had a reasonable understanding of what the "architecture" of the forums is, your post has been helpful especially regarding the history of the development. I am very mindful of the increasing membership of the forums, I see many new people posting and I don't know if there's been a pro rata expansion in PSWs and mods, but recently it seems this hasn't been the case. And so I feel for the PSWs/Mods in that increase in workload and the possibility of then sustaining moral injury.

However, I am aware of some inequity, which is related to, but not the same as inequality, as you seem to understand, on the forums.

However, there is currently a fair bit of negativity, which is not good for the forums. Therefore, I posted something on the Sane Services thread to try to at least to some degree limit the negativity.

I can also empathise with you about returning to work from a break. Both of my dogs have passed away one in 2022 and one in 2023 and it was always hard leaving to go to work. They always gave me the Look as I left. I am sorry that you have been having increased anxiety.

Please feel free to post here if you want someone to chat to.

Re: Tillogram

Thanks @Till23 ❤️ Yes there is a difference between equity and equality - as you understand 👍 I also 'see' the negativity.

I did read that post you made on the other thread and too value those behind the scenes. I know the increasing number of members is not in proportion to those PSWs/Mods we have - and it is not an easy job - that is where there needs to be more equity so more members are having those positive interactions. That may mean that some who rely on those PSWs/Mods for support may need to look elsewhere and concrrently those PSWs?Mods NEED to look elsewhere to those who may need a one off support post or a short term interaction.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @tyme,, yes it was a very good match on the tennis.. I am a bit of a tennis fan.. And I think the doubles is much more exciting than the singles.. It's much faster and you need good reflexes..

Yes, I have already descibed my symptoms to the GP and I will have a follow-up appointmnet.

I hope you have a good evening.

Re: Tillogram

@Till23 Watching the tennis too. A shame our boys couldn't pull off the win in the doubles today but it was a close match.

Re: Tillogram

Thanks hun @Till23 . I'm hopping off now, but will see you tomorrow...

With the tennis, I have to say I liked the jellyfish clothes. It showed strength of character, I thought.

Oh @Zoe7,, we have similar TV watching menus.. I know we discussed Patience which was on ABC in about July. I hope they do another season of that..

I thought the doubles match was great and the Aussies were Wildcards so to get to the final and make such a close match of it was excellent. With the Women's final we have my favourite commentator Jelena Dokic. Her analysis and insights are fantastic.
