Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

@Till23 i hear where you're coming from, and i appreciate you also taking the time to respond to me 😊

yes, you're right, it is a finite resource. sucks that it is though! at the same time, i don't want you to feel like you're taking away someone else's support or that you don't deserve to receive support. i'm glad to be here, chatting with you - regardless of whether the topic is more positive or negative, i'm always ready to listen to both.

thanks for letting us know about being at your father's property - i hope it all goes well. i also just wanted to share a lil heads up that i'll be travelling overseas soon so i won't be back until the end of Jan 2026.

Re: Tillogram

@rav3n have a safe travel and I hope overseas is enjoyable. Of course being a travel-interested person, I will welcome any stories of it afterwards. 😉

@Till23 I didn't think to mentioned earlier - the discussions you, @Cuddlebear and I had about medication tapering were also really helpful for me. When I spoke to my GP today and mentioned that I need to taper off for the clinical trial and would like to start in the new year (after my trip to Sydney) so as to give my body the most time possible to titrate, he was in agreement that it was a good idea and validated that I may have side-effects of the taper and will support me with that if they arise. I felt confident to assert my preference to start as early as possible to do it as slowly as possible (within the available timeframe before the planned trial) because of our conversations and your mention of the RELEASE resources. 😍 I am grateful. But of course I value you even if you don't provide this peer-support - it's just a bonus. I hope knowing that you make an impact, even when you may not realise it, is uplifting for you.

Re: Tillogram

@Till23 Hello my beautiful friend. How are you today? You must be buggered from yesterday’s heat. I meant every word I wrote yesterday. 🙂

I am sorry to hear that your dad passed away last year. It is very painful when we lose our parents and you cared for him in his last six months which is one of the most loving things we can do for our parents. There will be a lot of emotions while at your dad’s place. I hope you are close to your siblings so you can take comfort from one another. No pressure about the forums I can tell that your dad really lived right off the grid and access to charging devices is likely very tricky.

I did not know you’ve had cancer. How are you know? Are you in remission / recovered?

Yes Wilbur gives me so much love and a reason to live. I lost my first guide dog Helinka just over a year ago. I still miss her with all my soul. Are you thinking of maybe getting a new dog sometime?

I am thinking of seeing a new GP but so far can’t find any that have mental health as a particular speciality. There’s 1 but he has over 30 negative reviews so I’m not willing to risk that. I also have multiple disabilities and peripheral artery disease. It’s hard to find a GP that can manage all of that. My current GP is good with deaf/blind, the foot amputation and peripheral artery disease but he’s crap at mental health.

sending lots of love and hugs to you.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @AlwaysMyself just quickly logging in here.. Hope you are well..Thanks for your post. No problem about not tagging, since I am going to be away it's probably best not to be tagged on general threads (or group tags) as I won't have much time, due to phone battery concerns.

I know what you are trying to say when I say I feel like I don't deserve things, it could seem that I mean that for other people who think they are on a similar position to me. I definitely don't think that, and I certainly do not think that you don't "deserve' any support yourself. Sorry I don't have time to express this is in a better way, but just wanted to assure you that yes I think everyone should get the support they deserve. I don't think you should just "shut up and soldier on" at all. Hopefully you or anyone else does not get that sentiment form my post.

Sorry

I hope you settle in to this new phase and that it promotes healing. Thanks for your support.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @Cuddlebear I’m just logging in very briefly. I hope you are going well.
I’m so happy you have Wilbur helping you with things, just having dogs around is comforting and uplifting.

My cancers are in remission and the cancers and treatment have very little effect on me now. I’m very fortunate with my physical health.

Frankly I reckon I’d much rather have cancer than my MH issues!

Yes, there is no electricity here, except small amount of solar, so some things are difficult, like charging your phone.” Internet reception also not brilliant.

I really hope you can find another GP.

Most GPs are pretty good with MH issues, esp female ones. In general one third to half of all GP presentations are for MH, but usually female GPs see more. My GP is quite good so I am lucky.

Re: Tillogram

@Till23 Hello my friend. It’s so very good to hear from you.

How are things going packing up your dad’s house?

I am so happy your cancers are in remission and that your health is good. My friend has cancer she’s on treatment which is working really well. I’m happy about it. She’s only in her 30’s.

Yes I am trying to find a female GP for the MH. Mine is a total disaster and I’m feeling this way due to the taper going too fast and causing a lot of serious withdrawal.

What’s it like living off the grid at the moment? I hope you have enough power to keep cool where you are and do cooking etc.

Are you there for a couple weeks? I think you are there with siblings preparing house for sale?
