My life sucks
And I have no hope that it’ll get better, despite being told by everyone that spoken to that it would. But I know for a fact that it won’t, not even in decades time.

@Blackcloud @Hello how are you? How is your day going? My daughter is at Uni and works part time as well. 🙂 I’m an academic at one of the Universities in Melbourne so she was lucky to have exposure seeing me study and then working. Honestly it’s never too late to study. It’s even better not going straight after high school as you have more life and work experience and are more likely to know what you love to learn about! Well done on getting into Uni and doing something that will help you live a better quality life. How are you finding your study? It’s quite hard being an undergraduate with so many classes and assessments. It’s stressful and I hope you’ve been able to access disability support as a student if you feel you need it. I did need it. 🙂

@Blackcloud I am honestly so sorry to hear this. Absolutely no one should be forced to date or have a relationship. Each person should be left to make their own decision.
You’ve done really well though on setting clear boundaries and I am really hoping she listens and respects that.

I am totally with @Cuddlebear on this one, no one chooses who they fall for so how is it okay for other people to make that choice for us?
@Blackcloud you ever heard the saying 'any attention is better than no attention'? I wonder if your mum still gets like, a neural activation of excitement seeing a message from you - doesn't matter if it's an angry face, it's still contact, still attention. Can't say for sure this is what is happening for her ofc! But just food for thought for when you're drawing your boundaries firm 😊

@Jynx nah I think my mother doesn't really care regardless if I send her an angry emoji and whatnot. But she does keep telling me to stop being rude to her and all of that which in response...that's not gonna happen at anytime soon (as in i'm never gonna stop being rude to her even if she tells that several times already lmao) 🤣🤣

@Cuddlebear my day's going okay. and so far, i'm doing ok with my studies - i'm right now doing the undergraduate certificate in fine art which i'm glad that i won't be continuing with next semester as I'll be starting my bachelors degree of psychological sciences in July. Yes I'm aware of the disability support services and the disability plan, I'm about to send in my reports as well as the registration form to the disability services team this week - since the bachelors degree i'm gonna be doing is gonna be at a different university which i'm gonna be a new student at 🙂 i appreciate your advice ❤️
and i doubt my mum would fully listen to those boundaries though. it really frustrates me how she thinks that she's trying to protect me or doing what she thinks is best for me when in reality, she's actually doing the complete opposite. she doesn't want to accept the fact that even people can choose to stay single as long as they want without ever having the obligations to be in a relationship. She still believes that I need someone that can protect me and take care of me when him and I get old and all of that. Like she knows that I still struggle to find and make connections with people on here, which was why she wanted to introduce me to some guys that my aunt (her sister) found that live in Cambodia, which is our ethnic country (those guys are around my age)...oh, and I don't get why getting married also is such a big deal, especially in that culture. She tells me that the guy will be able to support me financially (I've learnt that in cambodia culture, the husband always provides financial support for his wife but also for the wife's whole family) which I doubt that this is still the case...like how can she be sure that this guy will be able to financially support me? lol... i mean, getting into a reltionship with an immigrant has raised so many questions and worries within me because of..obviously the cultural differences.
anyway, at least right now im not worried about all of that because like i mentioned the other day, i was able to tell her last time to stop trying to get me to be with a cambodian guy and the age thing too

Any cooking adventures for you tonight?

@Jynx oh totally lol! xP
not as of now, but i did go to my parents house this morning to pick up the food from there that my mum has cooked that i'll be eating today and within the next few days.
the next time i do make the korean fried chicken again, I need to make sure to reduce the amount of soy sauce compared to how much the original author/cook influencer (AussieFitness) has put as part of his recipe for that, so that it won't be as salty as mine has been as of yesterday
off topic, but i'm about to be studying the bachelor of psychological sciences too - woohoo!! 😄

@Blackcloud ooooh nice! You have so much passion for study, I am so here for it!
Ever made ramen eggs? omg SO yum!

@Jynx Yeah, cause now for psychology/mental health I do wanna pursue a career related to that field after I complete the bachelor degree and then later on get into postgrad etc. but that’ll take years for me to get there of course lol… I’m also about to begin my training (self paced training) for the volunteering at lifeline so I’m excited for that - even excited to have this upcoming experience to be added onto my resume for future jobs! I also wanna become a mental health peer worker in the meantime! ☺️🙃
I’ve never made ramen eggs, I’ve just looked up what they look like and they look interesting hehe. Idk, the colour of it kinda reminds me of mooncake.🥮 I think ive tried mooncake before that was soooo long ago, I remember I didn’t like the taste of it I think? either way, i would like to try one again hehe to see if my opinion on the taste changes or not
