Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Thanks to all for the kind words yesterday. This afternoon mum is arriving from interstate. I've just woken from a broken up sleep over the night. I'm already dressed, blinds open, coffee in. This is what I need to get through before heading to the airport:

  • make bed
  • last minute tidy of bedroom
  • clean bathroom vanity unit
  • unpack dishwasher
  • repack dishwasher and do them
  • kitchen benches thoroughly cleaned
  • wipe-over of inside of fridge
  • last minute tidy of living room
  • maybe a few other things that arise
  • shower
  • go to airport

Hope everyone else has a good one today!

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

It's easy to slip into a lazy and unmotivated routine and loose sight of what's really important. Where there is huge amounts of negativity and pessimistic beliefs. But there is always choices we can make that will improve things.

I'm a bit of a back yard philosopher and like to speculate about what's really happening or what's not really happening. -long gone are the days where surviving was basic and simple. Because we are now living in possibly one of the most complicated times in history.

No one is better equipped to help you then you. And it's not easy. It comes with problems and difficulties. A simple step bye step book on how to get life right would be good to own. But unfortunately there ain't one available.

I just can't get going today, managed a healthy brunch_√ fed the dog_√ sorted my weekly pilll dispencer_√ checked in on aunt who had surgery yesterday_√ but now exhausted, gosh, so tired, still in PJs.

Yesterday I did a load of washing_√ inspected an affordable downsize unit_√ applied at bank for bridging loan (declined:()_√ did a 4hr country drive - which always is a pick me up_√

oh, just realised why I might feel so tired today, haha, bit slow on the uptake here 😕 Need a cuppa...

Good to hear you're 'self-caring' @Appleblossom🌿

@Shaz51, I've had that annoying waking+++ through night to pee - found out recently that sleep apnoea can cause nocturnal enuresis. Perhaps have some sleep studies done, you might need a cpap machine. Its a symptom of a few other things too - heart problems, UTI, kidney function, oedema of extremities... You should have it checked out 💕

@Former-Member @eudemonism @vic100

Good to read your posts.

I am finding it difficult to get going after reading some idiotic misogynist facebook posts from an angry male cousin. I am back in paralysis land. I should simply block him but feel immense difficulty doing that to anybody. For a few weeks I enjoyed reconnecting to my memories of him and his sister and dad who have passed.

I have reduced my shifts at the zoo.

Had a visit from a needy nephew. Have to keep finding reasons.

SO again I say. Thanks and to @Faith-and-Hope
