I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
Thanks @earth, and a warm welcome to the forums. Did you manage to walk the dogs. iron, cook & freeze meals? Theses are three things I try to do regular too. Have a squirmy tummy and fatigue today - only managed to make family support calls, mend dogs winter jacket and just before dark forced myself to pit in an hour to tidy the hedge out front.
I heard a saying recently "life is pain - we need to decide which is worth hurting for: the painful effort required to improve our circumstances or the painful consequences of not trying"

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in
Picked myself up today, out of the semi-bed-ridden state I'd been in past couple of days since some unfavourable news hit. Mum and friend are flying in from interstate tomorrow afternoon to stay up here for a week. Need to get flat in a nice enough state to be visited. So today for me was unusually productive:
8 hours sleep overnight in two 'shifts'
suprise invite from nearby friend for lunch
washing, dressing, meds, getting out the door
home again about 2.30
four phone calls to finalise flight booking details
make bed
vacuum bedroom and bathroom
mop bathroom
clean toilet
two loads of washing and hanging out
put away clean folded washing from days ago
neaten up kitchen (clean properly tomorrow)
tv and forum
Still more to do tomorrow in the way of housework. Then I probably won't be on the forum all that much for the week they are here. Hope everyone has okay days during that time.

Thanks lapses. Hope you are feeling ok again. I just finished the ironing and yesterday and today walked the dogs. The frozen meals were done and it feels good to have them in the freezer. Went out twice today...to exchange some written information and later to a morning tea. Tried to avoid both by thinking I'd have another cup of tea before getting out of bed but fortunately the self talk went and so I am still feeling good that I managed to not avoid....Slept for 2 hours this arvo. I have 2 relos who are sad and need long phone calls which can be draining. Your yesterday care of family, dogs and garden are activities that are good for my soul too. Sleep well.
