Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hey @Shaz51 How's it going?

Lazy Lad managed the rest of the laundry, the dishes, and then the scones (except still hasn't been able to eat them - tried to use up pumpkin that was making me gag, and even scone form isn't enough to get past that hurdle... But hopefully toasted and crisp with no hint of mushiness, they'll be edible.)

Do-everything Dude also talked LL into texting a mate to catch up sometime. Not sure LL's going to forgive that one soon from all the anxiety of back and forth messaging. Possibly revenge via an entire wasted evening without dinner. Except for those revolting gag scones. DD found LL's stash of mouldy tomatos and chucked them so at least those are off the table.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@Shaz51 good work on getting the house clean and the washing 🙂
Oh no, frozen tomatoes!
I hate wasting food so I can see this becoming increasingly more elaborate. Next I'll find a recipe to use up the scones. Perhaps try to make them into breadcrumbs and make pumpkin scone crumbed schnitzel. Although the way my schnitzel turned out last time that would be a horrific idea.
Tomorrow I'm going to try the bike ride again with my better bike. Pancakes for breakfast. Clean the table. Get rid of the wrong-address mail. Transfer the sheet music from my computer to my tablet and put my tablet on the keyboard stand.
How about you?

Well done @TheVorticon. LL and DD kind of worked well together as a team. 💜🤗

@MoonGal
your plan sounds wounderful. Good luck with your writing 💜🤗

Well today, as much as I love you all my goals are
1. Spend as little time as possible on the forum
2. Do washing
3. Do sooommme study 😬
4. Cook birthday tea for son.
5. Buy son birthday present.
6. Go to bed at a reasonable hour.
7. Don't panic about how much there is to do (yeah like that's not going to happen)

Wishing everyone a good day. I hope you find some peace.💜🤗

PS go easy @Former-Member after your big day yesterday. 💜🤗

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @Former-Member, thank you. Bit of back pain here but surprisingly not emotionally traumatised by yesterdays encounters. Its like a 'distancing' has occurred between me and the hurtful people and messages perceived by them. Itscall in the 'interpretation' Maybe I just have the energy now to stand taller on the inside.

Today I plan to potter in the garden with God a bit, and catch up on ironing and mending. Gardening and mending are the two things that gently energise my soul the most these days. Especially love sitting with a needle and cotton - one stitch at a time.

You're plans today are great! Try not to complicate them in your mind. One thing I try to do with my goal setting, that might help reduce your anxiety today, is

- give each task a generous timeslot.
- group overlapping jobs
- allow for a break every 2hrs to 'regroup'

I'm so inspired by your progress Teej. Keep sharing your journey here. big hug

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Goals for today.

Adjust to Sundays at home, going into a new phase of life.

One day, I may find another church but I am not going to do it in a knee jerk manner.

I am going to celebrate that I have survived.

In the garden with God might be one good way of describing it ... thanks @Former-Member
