Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

hello @Faith-and-Hope

wise words indeed is that your second youngest son?

sorry my mind incapable of processing anything at moment relying purely on old information

I said to my psychologist the other day I still learn so much from my children

WH I know h is for husband I managed to work that part out

I think what it might be I have mainly worked for government or large corporations whose worlds revolve around initialisms so I instantly, unconsciously block any new ones

I can remember one time when I went to my first meeting at a job with federal government. so many in the room. someone at the front started sprouting and all of these initialisms and acronyms floated out of his mouth

I turned to the lady next to me and said whilst smiling I got lost during the first sentence. I havent got a clue what this is about. She actually laughed and asked, New? you will get used to it but dont worry too much I still dont know what most of them mean. She turned out to be one of the top notches. I would have loved to have worked with her.

I think that you are going to be able to reclaim some of that serenity in the home once certain person is absent

all the best for you all xxx

Hi @Former-Member ..... 😊💕

Yes -

S2 is Son 2
WH is Wayward Husband ..... as in "has lost his way ...."

Please ask about any other initialising I do ..... it can be a bit hard to follow at first glance, but we are a large family so it helps to shorten the names to initials.

❤️

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Well today sucks and I could do with motivation. I'm so tired and feeling a bit messed up as I'm in overdrive with everything. The world is throwing me some lemons and I'm out of sugar to make lemonade 😲.
This morning started to chainsaws at the neighbours. They are cutting down their huge very healthy tree that provided my yard with shade and the only real bird life. Willy wagtails nested innit and harassed my dog but it was all entertainment some days.
Part 2 met my new psychiatrist. I now have a very, very experienced female psychiatrist. I was a bit nuts with everything going on. She did listen though and supported my choices of AD and sleeping meds so I have a prescription again. Yay.
However part 3 I had driven there on empty and as I was late couldn't get petrol. With all this mornings stress of the tree new psych I filled up petrol BUT drove off without paying. I was so wobbly from my appointment. I then did a quick food shop of essential and then realised I hadn't paid for the petrol. I rang the petrol station and they confirmed I drove off so I drove back and paid them.
Now I have an assignment/presentation to do with backdrop of chainsaws going and I have to finish sorting my room and move all my furniture out. I'm so tired and curled up in my bed just wanting to cry and sleep. Plus I have to ring tafe and pull out of tomorrow's subject because I can't do everything I need to.
I hope everyone's else's day is ok. Sorry it's another 'all about me' post 😒😣

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Sounds like you are coping even if to the accompaniment of chainsaws @Former-Member you got lots done. All about you? Why not whine not ha 😸

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@Former-Member ..... not only is it okay to be all about you ..... but that was also a very healthy vent ..... ❣

Crying along with you on the inside about that tree ....

Maybe they will put up something else there that throws shade across the yard ..... and maybe you can hang a bird-feeder somewhere .... find a dumped bird-bath on street collection day .... or hang some hollow branches with grass stuffed in them for the Willy-wagtails .....

Think about it tomorrow ..... today just rest, breathe, eat something, then give that assignment another go .....

Hugs n hugs ..... ❤️💕

hello @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Appleblossom @Former-Member @Shaz51

what a pity the tree wasn't a heritage listed tree then dopey neighbours could not have cut it down

new psychiatrist ..brilliant news.. you would have picked up if she was not what you need ... very important part of your life jigsaw

assignment can you get a whatever its called ..postponement whatever the term is cant think.. extension?

dont worry about petrol it happens far often than we know

at least you didnt put diesel in your car. I did that years ago when first separated from husband. had my two squabbling sons in back of car who were doing my head in. pulled up at closest pump filled up and paid. managed to drive out of petrol station into middle of busy road when car died.

a lovely man and his wife stopped seeing me in dire straits and he and myself pushed car to side of road. I rang RAA and it wasnt until the tow truck arrived and he worked out what I had done.

He could not stop laughing, had tears running down his face, kept saying to me "but how could you put diesel in your car, didnt you notice the pump was different?" "hello, rewind and you try it with two squabbling sons setting off for a long drive"

needless to say, boys enjoyed ride in tow truck.

over the years with decorating or whatever reason I have just shuffled stuff backwards and forwards when unable to do anything else..not the best but whatever gets you through..any friends who you can ring and cry help!

sending a hug xxxxx
