Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi folks. My depression seems tobe lifting despite having a ghastly night. I had a tummy upset and my ribs caused me agony, it was a horrible twisting in pain thing and upset the cat. Dear me, some pain relief kicked in, and I went to sleep and feel less rotten this morning. I was wondering should I visit the hospital, thought nah it will shift handover, I am not dying (just wish I did!), the thought of going in my jimmyjams was not appealing, in a cab(?) with a bowl????, ring a friend?? spend hours writhing about there. It was also very cold...I am glad my painkillers kicked in when they did.

I will follow my wellness plan today but exercise EXTREME caution in regards to eating. I am burping and stuff so it possibly was a dietary upset only.I am cross that I missed an appointment yesterday...something I do ALL the time despite calenders, reminders and alarms. I usually walk to the library where a knitting group congregates each Wednesday, but I may drive, and then onto Mass. We shall SEE.

Hope everyone who reads this thread are well, warm, and happy. Best wishes from me!

I had a second night of excruciating pain and no relief.....dragged my sorry self to ED, via cab and bowl at the ready. Cabbie was fine, said there was a wicked charge for vomiting clients, but it was there JUST in case. To cut to the chase, I have pericarditis....I mean how the HECK do you get that? If I go into cardiac tamponade I may die, but this is unlikely.

Sent home with different pain relief and something for nausea. I was looked after well, and life started improving when I could get comfortable. I really underestimate the pleasure of being pain free....something we really should not. My x Ray showed a lower lobe acetalectasis which I must work on, I surely don't want pneumonia as an encore.

hope everyone is PAINFREE....

That sounds really horrible @Neb. I'm really glad you found your way to hospital and got pain relief. I hope today is much more gentle for you and the nausea subsides. Thinking of you 💜🤗💐

Thank you.....I wish the pain killer was 100 per cent killing the pain, it isn't......a very dreary day indeed!

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hope you're feeling a bit better today @Neb. Well done going to the ED to get yourself checked out.

My goals for today:

  • Sausages for breakfast - being cooked now. Although I may have also eaten custard and choc chip cookies beforehand, because I am an adult.
  • Coat of primer on the thingamibob
  • Laundry
  • "Tidy" every room but the 2nd bedroom (to glance-quality only)
  • Dishes

Newby just passing, boy, so much to read so I shall not reflect of other posts here, today is a new day, a new month and for some a new year (financial). Not wishing to be disrespectful of others needs.

Feeling that oppressed feeling that comes with pre-grief, hmmm, not sure that's even a real term, but woke this morning vowing to do some little things, like shave, trim the hair, vacuum, the little house keeping things that the wife & I have put off all week. Oh, the shave thing is entirely my need, just to clear that up. Another was to come back here and do some more reading. It helped me comprehend that much better that I might be new here but we have much in common and so many of you have wisdom and empathy to offer schmucks like me. =P

I do hope others can set some goals, big or small, and start those steps needed to achieve them.
