Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Hope your day was alright @Mazarita. The big pile of washing sounds like a big enough goal in itself.

I haven't done much of my list yet, but it is an "ideal" list rather than "must do" list.

Best of luck with getting through some of your list, @TheVorticon. I've had a pretty good day but no washing done yet. Still was good anyway for spending time with a close friend and my companion. Hope the evening is going okay with you too.

Ok, today is a 'have to' day. I have to pack the car and get ready to visit the Center of my Universe.

I really, really want to break some branches today, as we didn't have the cosy fire last night 'cause I didn't get around to it yesterday; though I picked up some really good cut peices of wood from the forest yesterday - one in particular is like it was cut just for my fire box, someone out there must have exactly the same fire-box as mine, as mine is a little smaller than usual 🙂

I'm going to be realistic that I'm not going to get to the dishes, but I'd like to stack them up better.

I want to keep the broom in the back of my mind.

I really should take the battery back out of the 'farm car' and put it back on the 2nd solar system, the little 9AH battery I put in it's place is very, very charged now.

I'd feel better if I brushed my teeth, I've got this special stuff that does make them feel better, . . . but it's not going to do that if I don't use it!

Oh, the list is already looking to long - I'll leave it at that.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @Former-Member and all. I've had a slow start to the day. Still in sleepwear after spending most of the day so far in bed. No real reason for it, just the usual symptoms of depression. But soon I will be getting myself cleaned up to go for another walk on the beach. And then I may get to some washing. Yes, the never ending not-done washing saga continues, lol. I look forward to the day when I can say when I've got through it all! Sending best to everyone that they get through whatever needs or wants to be done today.

Hi y'all.....been feeling rather low so posting here is part of my wellness plan. Got up and thanked the Lord for another day, popped the rest of the washing into the dryer (yippee clean clothes!), having coffee and doing my wakeup games of mahjong and solitaire. Off to daily Mass ( I walk to and from) and then into town for haircut etc. I will do my daily prayers, and work on my embroideries for a couple of hours.

Lastly, and very important....I MUST drink a lot of water, and eat properly...so porridge, lunch soup with croutons ( toast cut up) and some fruit, dinner....beans on toast.

Hi everyone. What a wonderful discussion. Lack of motivation is one of my biggest barriers to feeling satisfied with my life and has been all my adult life.

Today I am going to write a letter and download a form, *before* the day before they are due :). I will do a bit of yoga. Then I will spend some time on these forums, as my partner is suffering severely with complex PTSD triggers and I am feeling almost constantly attacked :(.

I hope you are all having great days. xx

Welcome @FlowingRiver, good name. Think we all lack motivation this is ime of year. Don't forget to pop over the Carers side of the forums, there's a lot of women caring for troubled hubbys there. There's a cPTSD discussion thread somewhere too. Use the search bar. Stick around 😉
