High functioning ASD

High functioning ASD

Hello everyone

Could not find a thread about high functioning ASD so I thought of starting a new thread

My husband's specialist thinks he has high functioning ASD but has not gone to get a proper diagnosis

As I have read some information, I can see it in my step children who has adhd

And I can see it in my husband

Re: High functioning ASD

Tired is perfectly understandable @Shaz51.

Do you have any therapy appointments coming up?

Awww how were the kids? I am sure connecting with them was helpful. 💛

Re: High functioning ASD

Hopefully Mr Shaz will feel up to doing something tomorrow @Shaz51 and that will probably good for both of you. Does he have a good GP and maybe a psych?

Re: High functioning ASD

Has not seen his medical team for over a year @Till23

Have made a gp appointment for Monday to start all over again which I don't think he wants to go through it all again @AuntGlow

See how he goes in the morning

Re: High functioning ASD

Sounds like he won't be starting from scratch though @Shaz51..

A couple of months before I started caring for Dad he went of his antidepressants. I know he didn't like the side effects, but I think he was better on them than off and after he went back on he did feel that after a while. I'm sure it very much helped that I was here for him to interact with as well. I know it's difficult though, he was also getting pretty ill because of the cancer.

I hope you are able to pay attention to your own care needs as well @Shaz51

Oh no, I was going to ask about him in the cuppa thread @Shaz51 no wonder he had to go back to bed yesterday. Hoping you don't get it too!
