Angry and alone

Angry and alone

Hi. I know I should write some sort of intro but just don't really know what there is to say.

I'm feeling angry and alone and like there's no one who cares.

Re: Angry and alone

@TheVorticon. You are that special. You do deserve.
It's hard when one person in a relationship needs more space than the other person. It's quite common. It can be hard to get that balance right where both parties are happy.
But you deserve happiness. You deserve to have 'time out' - to do your own thing.
Sometimes we tell a white lie - to protect hurting others. Sometimes because it's hard to express what we need - or don't feel listened to.
Enjoy your day to yourself tomorrow. Do the things you enjoy doing. You deserve some - me time.

Re: Angry and alone

@TheVorticonyeah I hear you on that one... great observation actually. I can so totally relate to that it's almost visceral.

I can understand someone finding you very interesting to talk to though. I've only gleaned a tiny bit of your character but more than enough to get that.

I totally relate to the get bored then angry then guilty thing too. Sometimes when I talk to someone in that situation I even feel guilty going into the kitchen to get a drink and find myself rushing because I feel like I should get back to them and not keep them waiting. It's nuts really when you think about it... I feel a strong sense of obligation obviously. Too much perhaps now you have prompted me think about it more consciously.

Thanks @utopia and @Spookytookims.
I did have a pretty good day yesterday. Probably overdid it on the gaming, but it's amazing how much more relaxing a day can be when it's not spent alternating between 2 things every 5 minutes.

Re: Angry and alone

I'm glad you had such a great day @TheVorticon. It's important to be able to take time out for you. Good self care.

Re: Angry and alone

Just making myself angry and sad at the moment. "blah blah blah insert angry stupid rant here about how I'm a stupid waste of space"

Re: Angry and alone

@TheVorticon. I'm sorry your thoughts are leading you down that path. I've never thought of you that way - as a waste of space.
It's a bugger when we can't switch off our negative self talk easily.

Re: Angry and alone

I don't know what other people experience along with their negative thoughts, but mine usually come with a sudden "Hey! Do this destructive thing now!" and adrenaline angry surge. I'm going to bed before the thoughts start building on each other.

@utopia my rubiks cube is asking how your new schedule is going tonight? Hope you get some rest.

Re: Angry and alone

@TheVorticon. Thanks. I did take my meds before 8.30 tonight. Didn't go to bed at 10.00 like my psychologist suggested. Maybe tomorrow.
I hope you have managed to fall asleep. Tomorrow is a new day. Do you have any plans? Maybe get on your skateboard and practice? Catch a rare Pokemon? Cook something delicious?

Re: Angry and alone

Falling asleep is like my one skill, so I'm lucky I hardly ever have any issues with that.

Still feeling like an epic failure. No real plans for today, unless I go back to the shops tonight to get the stuff I stupidly didn't get last night. Just laundry and making a real dinner including veges are the 2 things I need to accomplish.

I don't want anyone nearby when I practise skateboarding so I'd want to do that at like 4am before all the early morning exercising people which just isn't realistic. Which is why it's been forever since I did it.

Glad you managed the meds @utopia. That's a good achievement even without the changed bedtime yet.

Re: Angry and alone

@TheVorticon. I often go to the supermarket to get one or two items. I come home with ten items but not the ones I went to get in the first place. Lol. It happens to many people.
What are you thinking of cooking for dinner tonight?
