@MissGremlin @Captain24 @Flutterbug9 hoping you can all find some time during the day today have to sedate rest times to help through after low-sleep nights.
@NightFury our bodies are (when healthy) designed to want to do things and to thrive off the positive-stress that motivates in a good way. It can be hard sometimes to know how much is "enough but not too much". On days when you feel the need/want to be productive - i wonder if thats the perfect time to pick a single task from a to-do list (not a big.one! Just a step or two!) and if being able to complete that bite-size task then feels good for the "productive, but not tiring/overwhelming" ?
Ive just sat outside for the last hour or so with my mum whilst she is doing some garden work. I have tried to be as helpful as i can *without making myself too tired or sore*. Unfortunately that means i havr only been able to fill one bucket and help with the hose a bit, where as she has done about 3 buckets in that time. But i guess it is still 1 less bucket that she needs to do, right? So that is good. But now my back has a constant mild ache, so i have decided it is best for me to go back inside to rest it - to not become overwhelming later on. Preventative management.
This is just an example of how i am trying to be a little productive when i feel able. I much prefer to help someone else socially than to do my own in isolation. And once her work is done (it is time sensitive) then she may well spend time sitting with me whilst i do my housework in future weeks. So eventually mine will get done too, maybe... its not time sensitive to do though.
