Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

That’s ok @MissGremlin. There is no hurry and it doesn’t matter! Just look after yourself, that’s the most important thing. I don’t need a reply. So it’s all ok!

Re: Battles

@Captain24 I'll definitely still reply, I love our chats sweet ☺️. I have a couple of longer posts to reply to so I usually get the little ones out the way first and then tackle the longer ones.

Re: Battles

@NightFury and that's ok, if we can't find it in the containers then we'll move on to the next step.

Oh wow, that's so pretty and would hold such special memories ❤️

Re: Battles

It's not in any of the boxes @MissGremlin I've had a look through all of them. I found some intetesting things, found some memories, but didn't find Luna's microchip number.

Re: Battles

@NightFury ok that's ok. So I'm guessing the next step is ringing the vets to find out if they are happy to scan her for you.

Re: Battles

Yeah, that's the next step @MissGremlin but can we do that on Monday? I've hit a bit of a slump.

Re: Battles

@NightFury of course sweet, that's completely ok.

Would you like to talk about what's coming up for you at the moment?

Re: Battles

I don't know if I know what's coming up for me. @MissGremlin but I just feel sad, tired and heavy.

I have my Nan's watch around my neck. I got it going (it's a wind up one) and I can hear it ticking away. It's comforting, but it reminds me of her, which also brings up grief about my Grandad.

I am anxious about today's appointment and keep on counting down how many hours until I have to go.

And I found lots of memories within those boxes...and an obsession with buying and not writing in notebooks.

Re: Battles

@NightFury i think all those feelings are valid especially with your appointment today and going through those containers.

Awww it's so good that you've got the watch working. I love that it reminds you of your nan and I can understand that grief coming up about your grandad. Sending you gentle hugs sweet ❤️.

I know you're anxious about your appointment today but remember that after you get to pick up your niece and do some fun things together.

I know going through boxes brings up lots of memories and you did really well to get through it sweet. I do the same thing, I buy certain things that I never end up using but yet I still buy more.

Re: Battles

Today is just a lot @MissGremlin

I am going to rest until my appointment now, I have a couple of hours. And then chasing after a two and a half year old requires energy too. So I'm going to eat some food, maybe have a juice, stay connected here and just try and get myself through the anxious lead up and the heaviness that's settled. I have the TV on in the background and Luna is literally at my feet.

Thank you for your help this morning.
