Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

Oh sweetheart @Captain24, you didn't add to anything at all. Last night was just one of those nights for me.

I'm just catching up on posts so I'll respond in the other thread in a little bit. Hoping you are feeling better this morning ❤️.

Re: Battles

Thankyou @AlwaysMyself much appreciated sweet ❤️.

I managed 2 hours of sleep in the end. It wasn't until 5.42am that I dozed off again and then I woke up shortly before 8am. The pain is just relentless and it's frustrating that nothing I'm doing is giving me any relief from it. I even took a high strength pain relief last night in the hopes it would help, I've been so scared to take it cos of its addictive nature and my history with medications but I needed something to just give me a little bit of relief, but even that didn't help at all. I've got a cuppa and I need to try to be gentle with myself today, might just need to be reminded of that occasionally. (I'm safe).

I hope you are doing well and have a lovely day sweet ❤️

Re: Battles

Morning @NightFury my sweet and thankyou for the hugs, very much needed today.

I'm feeling so, so heavy this morning and I have to somehow find the courage to message my land agent to cancel my inspection that's on the 8th, I can't deal with it at the moment, I just can't. I know she's going to be so angry which is why I want to email her rather than ring, but I'm scared she won't reply to the email which means I'll have to ring to make sure she's gotten the email and doesn't just show up on the day. I don't like being in this position and I'm so annoyed with myself that I can't just clean to have the house ready, but between the pain and my mental health, I just don't have the energy or motivation.

I'm not sure how to tackle today, I need to go to the shops and have a couple of things to do and right now it all just feels so overwhelming. I have my cuppa and Casper in front of me and I'm trying to just focus on this moment, not anything else but brain is very much pushing to try to solve everything at once. (I'm safe).

How are you feeling sweet?

Re: Battles

You can do it. You've got this! @MissGremlin.

Remember, there's also the option of getting your GP to write a letter for your landlord, if she gives you a hard time about needing to cancel your inspection.

My advice, tackle today slowly. There's a lot of time in the day and it's okay to go slowly with what you need to get done.

I am not feeling so great this morning. I had a bit of a rough night too. I woke up a few times, so I'm tired, but as you know...it's also the way you wake up and I woke up to instant anxiety each time, which made it hard to go back to sleep.

I have my GP appointment today at 2 pm, so I'm going to keep myself busy this morning. I'm going to mow the lawns. And maybe go sit and drink coffee in a local cafe, before hand.

Re: Battles

Hey @AlwaysMyself

Thats good about your dogs. So much less anxiety about leaving them when they are comfortable. My parents look after my dogs all the time when I’m working. They are just as comfortable at mums place as they are at mine. Pix even knows the different routines at each house. Jett is slowly learning too. He knows that when mum has a coffee that he gets a dental stick. I was around there one day with the dogs and mum made her coffee and Jett was jumping around for the stick but he wasn’t staying he was coming home with me but wouldn’t come to me to go to the car! Pix is a really smart little girl. She is pretty switched on, poor little Jett isn’t anywhere near as clever as she is but he is slowly catching on to things.

Im struggling a little and very tired but I’m getting everything ready to be able to go to bed at 12 to have a sleep before nightshift.

How are you going?

Re: Battles

Thankyou @NightFury ❤️.

I have my appointment with my gp tomorrow so if I don't get a reply from her when I email today I'll get a note from my doctor and send that through to her.

I am going to take today one step and one breath at a time and try to do things slowly.

I'm sorry that you had a rough night aswell. Yes I completely understand, waking up to instant anxiety makes it so hard to calm down and then to try to go back to sleep.

Keeping yourself busy until your appointment sounds like a good idea and i especially love the idea of having a coffee at your local Cafe. Remember to be gentle with yourself and I'll be around all day if you want to chat. I hope your appointment goes ok this afternoon sweet, I'll be thinking of you ❤️.

@NightFury @Captain24 @AlwaysMyself @Flutterbug9

The service that my doctor referred me to rang just before. They allocated me someone to talk to but when she asked if I could come in next week sometime and i said I can't that I can only talk on the phone, she said they can't do over the phone appointments. I checked this with the service before I got my doctor to do a referral, I told them I struggle with my anxiety and I don't cope with going into places to talk and they said that was fine and that i could talk over the phone with them rather than going in there. I feel so let down again 😞. (I'm safe).

Re: Battles

Hugs @MissGremlin I can understand the feeling of being let down. It's bren so hard for you to find help, and something gives you a spark of hope and then you hit nothing but road blocks with it
