@AlwaysMyself basically I hadn't planned to see the new year in, that's where things are sitting tonight (I'm safe). It's been a really hard day to get through especially on such little sleep from last night aswell.

As i said I'm still maintaining my safety and I'm reaching out to the right services when I need to.

That being said I'm now trying to keep myself distracted to get through the rest of the night and then once all the fireworks start going off I'll be hopping in the car with Casper and driving around.

I'm so proud of and grateful for you @MissGremlin . Because of who you are, because of how strong you are with your resistance to these desires (I'm there often enough myself, I know it can be so hard). And also because how amazing you are to volunteer to drive around to help animals that may have freaked out and escaped from the fireworks/noise. 😍

So good you get to take Casper with you also, so he/she is not alone either. 😊

Thankyou @AlwaysMyself, it really means alot to hear people say that they are proud of me although I do struggle to accept it. The volunteering gives me purpose much like here where I get to help people only with this one i get to help animals. It can take a toll though cos not all animals make it home safely and those calls are incredibly hard to make.

Yes Casper gets to come with me, he loves being in the car ☺️

Oh yes, that would be very sad and difficult to be finding and informing of when an animal is injured or does not make it. @MissGremlin . However, if someone has to find out the bad news, someone with your care and heart is a comfort in the process to hear it from. I hope you don't have to do any/many of those tonight. Lets hope the animals keep off the roads, fingers crossed. I am always worried that if my dogs escape or get off the lead they would have no road sense.

I can hear lots of fireworks where I am currently.
