Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@NightFury oh sweet, i hear you. I'm spiralling at the moment (I'm safe). Even just doing lunch, shower and dishes has taken everything out of me and I'm not even hungry for lunch now. My head is pounding again, every day it's constant headaches.

Re: Battles

Try and have something to eat @MissGremlin even just a couple of spoon fulls and maybe some water? It might help with the headache.

Re: Battles

I would support that @Cuddlebear but my support button has gremlins.

I am feeling pretty heavy and low today. I've got a few things done this morning and now, I am curled up on the couch. I'm tired, so I'm just trying to focus on giving my body what it needs today.

Re: Battles

@NightFury I'll try to when it's ready. I've had several drinks today and I've just taken another lot of pain relief.

Glad you're working on staying hydrated and taking care of your body's needs @MissGremlin

Re: Battles

@AlwaysMyself sometimes I struggle with how the water feels when it touches my skin. But I can relate to putting clothes on when feeling damp, it's like everything is sticky almost.

Well done for having a shower today, I know it wouldn't have been easy so I'm proud of you.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin Try some water it can help a little with hydration and relief of headache. I just had a glass with my sedative. We’re gonna get through another day. Connection here is something we have which is good.

@NightFury My support button works on and off. Resting your body is good and just keeping yourself hydrated. What are you watching in the tv?

Re: Battles

@Cuddlebear I'm exhausted in every way possible. Just wishing I could get help so badly before something happens 😞. (I'm safe). I'm waiting for my food to be ready and I'll try to eat a bit then I might lay down for a while, but I'm scared to sleep cos I don't want anymore nightmares.

I am finding it hard without the peer support workers around but I'm glad that the community is still here.

Re: Battles

I'm watching Paramedics on YouTube @Cuddlebear keeping myself hydrated is not my strong point.
