Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Thankyou @ENKELI my sweet, it's not something I'm used to as it's only been happening for the past few weeks. Love and hugs back at you beautiful ❤️

@MissGremlin Hello Dreamy my friend. I can see what a battle this is for you. I read your poem. I hope in some way the poem helped you get the feelings out. I’m glad you did call Lifeline but I’m sorry it wasn’t as helpful as you needed last night. I’m glad that there were others online who did reach out.

I was not online last night. I’m sorry I did not see your tag till now.

Are you up now even if in bed? Are you safe?

I love you and am here.

Hello @Cuddlebear my sweet, how are you going?

It helped a bit while I was writing it. I know it can be hard for services to understand and they did try to help, it was at least nice to have someone to just listen.

It's ok sweet, no need to apologise. I don't expect anyone to be online at the silly hours I'm awake sometimes 😂. Well other than the amazing mods of course.

I was up and about but things have suddenly come crashing down for me. I only got an hour and 37 minutes of sleep but I had a bit of a motivation burst earlier and I did my dishes and a couple of other things. I'm back in my bed now and I'm going to try to have a nap, yes I'm safe for the moment.

Love you sweet, thankyou for being here ❤️

@MissGremlin *Support button not working*

I am really relieved you are safe Dreamy. I’m also glad it helped a little by writing the poem. I am relieved to hear Lifeline did try to help and that having someone who could listen was helpful. I can totally understand that having a human who can listen can help to settle a little.

Getting some sleep if possible would be really good. I’m hoping you are nicely snuggled in bed and able to nap to give your body sometime to relax and some more energy once you are up.

Love you too. It’s ok I am happy to be here for you.

Re: Battles

@Cuddlebear i only managed to doze off for a very short time, my head is pounding and my tummy feels icky. I feel so exhausted in every possible way. I don't like that my doctor is away and that i can't reach out to him to say how much I'm struggling and how strong these thoughts are, it's still another 9 days until i have my appointment. (I'm safe). I'm contemplating whether to get up to see if I can do some more little diamond art things.

How's your day been going beautiful?

Hello @NightFury my sweet, how's things going over there for you?

Re: Battles

Hi @MissGremlin

It's still showering with rain here, I haven't managed to get out and mow the lawn and I keep trying to fall asleep. Twice I've woken myself up with a snore, sitting up in my floor lounge chair in front of the TV.

My brain can't let go of the fact that I need to mow the lawns...

How's your Sunday going over there?

Re: Battles

@NightFury oh that's rough sweet, i know you want to get the lawns mowed but sometimes the weather stops us from doing that. I totally understand the feeling of your brain not being able to let it go, mine does the exact same thing.

I tried to nap but only dozed off for a short time. I'm contemplating whether to get up and have a cuppa and see if I can maybe do some diamond art.

Re: Battles

I know it doesn't make sense for me to be fixated on the fact that I need to mow my lawns @MissGremlin especially because the rain is beyond my control.

I watched one Facebook video about the dangers of the particular med I take and now it's all over my facebook and my brain is also worried about that.

My anxiety brain is out of control at the moment. I wish I knew how to let things go. @AuntGlow

A cuppa sounds good. I've just made myself one - a caramel latte.
