Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

Housework is definitely never ending @MissGremlin and I don't have the energy to do any during the week, so it all has to get done on the weekend.

Do what you need to do for you, I reckon. If you need to sit on your bed and just be, then do it. I'm sorry you didn't get a lot of sleep.

Re: Battles

@NightFury i hear you. I just do little bits when I have the energy/motivation at the moment.

It was such a rough night and I've been awake since 2.38am. My bed just feels comforting, like the rest of the world can wait while I just sit here and listen to my music while connecting here.

If you have nothing pressing to do @MissGremlin the rest of the world can wait.

Re: Battles

@NightFury and right now i don't have anything that really needs doing so this moment is all that matters.

I've decided I'm going to ring my gp tomorrow to tell him how this medication is making me feel/think. It has me a little concerned as it's very similar to how I felt in February when I ended up in hospital so I'm cautious this time around. I'm safe though and will reach out to appropriate services if I need to.

Re: Battles

If you're concerned about how these meds are making you feel, then talking to your GP sounds like a good plan @MissGremlin

Re: Battles

@NightFury i made it out of bed, i got dressed, did my hair and did the dishes. I folded a little of the laundry but started feeling icky and overwhelmed so I've decided that I've done enough of that for the moment. I'm sitting at my table now with my puzzle and the diamond art sets in front of me, not sure if I'll work on any of them just yet though. Did you enjoy your cuppa?

Re: Battles

Well done on getting some of those jobs done @MissGremlin proud of you. Also, well done on listening to your body and what it needs.

My coffee was good, but I'm feeling a bit tired and flat now that I've allowed myself to stop. Luna's crashed too. She's asleep on the couch.

Re: Battles

Thankyou @NightFury ❤️.

Glad you enjoyed your cuppa, sounds like maybe your body needs a little bit of a rest. Think Luna has the right idea of sleeping on the couch hehe.

Are your parents still coming over for dinner tonight?

Re: Battles

My body needs a big bit of a rest, but I don't have the opportunity to give it to it @MissGremlin

My parents are still coming for dinner, so I have to cook for them. I have Marry Me Chicken in the slow cooker, and I'm going to cook a chicken chow mein, so that there are options and there are lots of left overs for lunches this week.

Re: Battles

@NightFury i hear you sweet. Maybe just take things a little slower at the moment.

Both those dinner options sound delicious 😋. Having leftovers will be perfect for lunches during the week 😊
