Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

Hiya folks!

@MissGremlin @Bunniekins @Shaz51 @NightFury 😁

I am so sorry you copped that @MissGremlin that is so unfair. I am of the opinion that all of us, deep down inside, are still children - we just run around in these adult bodies and like, have to do taxes and stuff. To me, that opinion that we somehow must 'have our sh!t together' by the time some arbitrary number of years have passed, is steeped in privilege, or ignorance (often both). Either this person has never had to struggle through the battles of mental health issues, or they're someone who somehow overcame their struggles and came to the conclusion that if they can do it, everyone should be able to (but often overlooking their privilege, which can be anything from having enough money to afford specialist treatment options, to having a solid community of family and friends around to support them).

I'm sorry that you were made to feel like your struggles aren't valid just because you've been alive a certain amount of time. And tbh, I think we should be embracing our inner child, not trying to squash em down for some silly notion of 'maturity'.

Hope y'all are having a chill day!

Re: Battles

@Jynx @rav3n i want to talk about this more but i can't cos I know my posts are still being read by said person. It just really hurt to hear it, like they don't even know or care how much I'm struggling at the moment.

I love embracing my inner child, I refuse to grow up. Yes I do my adult tasks and run a house but when I can i love nothing more than to be a big kid at heart, it's those little moments that somehow keep me going even when I don't realise it at the time.

Jynx things are feeling extra heavy tonight, I'm trying to stay connected cos the last thing I need is to shut down. But I'm really feeling like such a burden at the moment. I'm safe, just ugh it's been a rough time lately. Where's that light at the end off the tunnel, I seem to have lost sight of it at the moment.

Oh I forgot to say that I had to stop playing with my chain, I'm allergic to silver and metals so I was getting a rash from it. I still play with it occasionally though but have to keep it brief. Silly allergies.

Re: Battles

hugs @MissGremlin. My heart breaks to hear how awful things happened to you. You are such a beautiful soul and it doesn't matter how old or young you are, your feelings are valid and to the person who told you that, I am disappointed and saddened that you would be so rude - a pox on them.

Just because I am now 56 does the rejection of my father 50 years ago hurt any less?

Keep embracing your inner child darling Dreamy, she is part of who you are.

Much love and hugs xoxo

Thankyou sweet @ENKELI

No, no it doesn't. They some time heals all wounds but the rejection from family really does hurt so much.

Love and hugs to you too beautiful ❤️.
