Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlinI crash most nights after work. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get a lot of sleep. It's hard when sleep is an issue, it makes you feel so much more vulnerable.

Re: Battles

@AuntGlow it really is close to me having to close my account again but this time there wouldn't be any coming back if I do.

I really don't know, I'm trying hard to hang onto them but anxiety and fear is really getting in the way.

I just sat down for 5 seconds before I have to do things, then I don't get to stop until it's bedtime.

Re: Battles

@NightFury yeah i get that, it's because you've held yourself together all day and now that you are at home everything stops and things start to catch up with you. Also being at home is your safe space and you don't have to have your guard up.

Feeling incredibly vulnerable today amongst other things.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin that's exactly what happens. And when I don't have my niece here with me, all I have to worry about my dog and it isn't hard to take care of her. She's a big couch potato.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin For some reason, I can’t seem to support/like your post.. ahh technical issues… 😅🥲

Thank you though ❤️

And I’m not doing the best but I’ve been active on another mental health forum and have been talking to peer workers there as well as talking to lifeline about my concerns.

Oh! And I’m about to start moving into the new accomodation next week, and then it’ll be in less than 3 weeks time that I’ll officially be moving out of this accomodation. 🙂 kinda looking forward to it tho. Also can’t wait to be talking to the counsellor (counsellor that has autism) either by this month or next month.

I hope you’re doing well, even if that means you’re doing fine/okay otherwise ❤️

Re: Battles

@NightFury whilst it's good to have that distraction of having your niece, it's also good to have time to yourself especially after the past few days being so hard for you. Casper was a good couch potato with me today, i didn't move much other than when I had a shower.

Re: Battles

@Blackcloud that support post button is having a big tantrum 😂.

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't doing the best but I'm glad you have been reaching out for support ❤️.

Oh that's so exciting, I hope the moving goes smoothly. That counsellor appointment will hopefully be so good for you, I look forward to hearing about how it goes.

Today I'm really not doing ok, I'm trying hard to hang in there but things are really rough.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin not having her has given me some time and space this week.

I'm glad you have Casper for company!

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin Oh yesss it definitely does 😂

I’ll definitely update you on it after my first session with her!

I’m sick and tired of every single mental health professionals that give me advice which none of them I’ve found helpful AT ALL especially when they all don’t seem to put themselves onto my shoes, and so far they all seem to be neurotypical (meaning ‘not neurodivergent’ at least from what my OT told me) it seems so I’m not that surprised. They all seem to be dismissive of my concerns too.

It’s good to hear that you’re hanging in there, even though it’s really tough out there but we all got this!! ❤️❤️💪🫂

Btw, random question, do you like to read books? 📖

Re: Battles

@NightFury and I really think that's a good thing.

Me too, would be very lost without him.
