Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@NightFury oh I've never heard of it.

Canada is definitely a beautiful place from what I've seen and heard.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin cold and snowy in winter though. So if I was going to go, it's have to be in the warmer months.

Re: Battles

@NightFury oh but I'd love to go and see snow for the first time.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin it snows here in winter sometimes. Not as much as Canada though.

Re: Battles

@NightFury we've had little bits of snow here but not proper snow. I remember driving through the hills one day when the roads were all iced and it was slippery.

How are you doing @MissGremlin? RiverSeal

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin snow is beautoful, but it's also messy. I used to live in a place where it snowed and afterwards, it would just turn to slush.

Re: Battles

@NightFury yeah it's beautiful but I can imagine the aftermath it would leave.

@MissGremlin

You're not the only one who knows that feeling of being so overwhelmed, exhausted, and frustrated that giving up feels like the only option. I certainly get to that point and I think a lot of us do. I sometimes ask myself how I keep getting out of it. I don't really know, I just know something does get me out of it. Maybe it's something inside us we just don't see for ourselves. Who knows. The important thing is that it's there.

Maybe we're so used to that negative inner voice that we stop hearing that positive one. So it just works silently in the background keeping us going when we need it most. There's definitely something there in us. So maybe we just need to learn to start hearing it again... so it can help us at times when it can just help us rather than when we're at that point of wanting to give up. Possibly it would reduce the times we get to that point. Maybe it would tell us it's okay to have a day where everything is just to hard and it's fine to just take some time when managing things to do feels too hard at the moment. I really don't see this as weakness or failing, just managing our lives.
