Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin It's always smaller things that can set off the triggers for bigger things, isn't it?

I want to validate that so many people forget to pay things like rego, so please be gentle with yourself. 💛

Hmmm, what's the feeling you are experiencing and what is the belief that is coming up with it?

Re: Battles

@AuntGlow i took Casper into the shops and this worker that doesn't know me confronted me and told me that pets aren't allowed in the store i tried to explain that he was an assistance dog in training and that I've got permission to have him with me. But I really panicked and got all worked up. Thankfully one of the other workers stood up for me and told them that he is allowed to be in there with me. But it's left me really shaken, I was already feeling fragile and on edge.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I get that. It can be so dysregulating when we have to stand up for ourselves during confrontation... I am sorry this was so overwhelming for you, but I am really glad to know another worker supported you. What does your body need right now to feel more soothed?

Re: Battles

@AuntGlow what i want to do and what I feel it needs isn't constructive and isn't going to solve anything but urges are strong and I'm weak.

Re: Battles

@AuntGlow i can't do this. Everything is going wrong and I feel like I'm about to snap.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin You are not weak at all. Messaging us about these feelings shows so much awareness and strength.

How do you feel about creating a safety plan for when these urges are present? We could work through one now? 💛

Re: Battles

@AuntGlow i am weak. I can't even do a safety plan. I've tried with my doctor, mental health workers, psychologists. But I just can't, all that is on mine is reaching out for support which right now I don't even have the strength to.

I'm sorry.

@AuntGlow @rav3n here's the soup that I made that's now just sitting in front of me with me staring at it, trying not to cry but I can't even eat it.

That looks so yum and healthy! Honestly, good food is really grounding. @MissGremlin

You're allowed to feel what you are feeling. Know that we think you are strong, and we are proud of you. You can eat slowly, that's okay - there's no rush here. 💛
