Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

@NightFury spends over 40 minutes on hold to a crisis service in a crisis, gives up trying. Not sure what I'm supposed to do now.

Re: Battles

Hmm...what are the options @MissGremlin

Take Casper outside with a ball?

Curl up as tight as you can in a blanket and close your eyes?

Find a really, super quiet space and curl up?

Do some breathing exercises?

We learnt some vagus nerve reset techniques to do with kids at school on Friday, maybe google some of those or YouTube them to try for yourself?

Re: Battles

Oh, my friend. @MissGremlin I wonder what would happen if you got in your car when you're done and let those tears free?

Re: Battles

@NightFury not sure if it would be a good idea to. Bumped into my mother and my 2 kids again and it's just all hit so hard. I hate this situation, we are supposed to be family and that's the only family I have.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I'm hearing you, family stuff is a challenge.

This coming from me - our emotions get trapped in our bodies. It's always better to let them out, let them move through you. If you can - find a space and let the tears go.

Also, feel free not to listen to my advice because I don't live it. I bit back tears earlier too.

@NightFury i just can't let it out cos I don't know what will happen.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin you will cry, it will hurt your heart, there will be snot...most likely...and when you're empty of tears, you'll feel exhausted. Your head will ache, your eyes will sting or maybe feel like sandpaper. But later tonight, or tomorrow, you'll notice that you feel a little clearer and a little lighter.

Re: Battles

@NightFury if only it was that easy. I have to mask my emotions, not allowed to feel them.

I needed something to try to cheer myself up and I found this.
