Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

I know you do @MissGremlin and you do a very good job, I wonder if you can extend a little bit of that compassion to yourself? We really appreciate you on the forums

Re: Battles

@Till23 really don't want to be compassionate towards myself. Feeling pretty crappy right now as I just had a seizure out of nowhere.

Re: Battles

Oh sorry to hear that @MissGremlin have you got all your post seizure things in place?

Re: Battles

@Till23 there isn't anything. It's just a matter of me trying to take care of myself which i really don't have in me tonight.

Re: Battles

Tonight was already hard enough without this being added to it. It's too much for me and I can't take it anymore. I don't want to go through this, I don't want to live another minute having to suffer like this. I'm scared and I'm hurting and I want to escape the pain. How am I supposed to find a way to keep going, hope doesn't exist anymore, there's no light at the end.

@MJG017 i forgot to tell you yesterday that my ndis application was rejected, getting that phone call before I was meant to have that meeting also didn't help.

Re: Battles

Hey @MissGremlin take some deep breaths. Can you just try to get a little bit of sleep. Do you feel drowsy after a seizure.

Have you tried a crisis service? I know they are not always that helpful but at least it's a distraction and might give you a bit of space.

Casper needs you, you know that. Try to find some joy with Casper to ease the pain.

I have definitely used my dogs to get a bit of space in my head and ease the pressure

Don't forget you can always summon the overnight moderator as well

Re: Battles

@Till23 usually yes i do feel drowsy after a seizure but not tonight.

I did try a crisis service but the person I got really didn't care about what I was telling them or how I was feeling. They gave up on the conversation after about 15 minutes saying they don't know how to help me.

Don't get me wrong, I love Casper and yes I want to be here with him but I'm not sure it's enough to keep me going, not with everything else that's going on.
