I’m really sorry you’re going through this again, especially after such a short sleep. Waking up straight into panic and nightmares like that sounds incredibly distressing and exhausting.
I hear how defeated and overwhelmed you’re feeling right now, and how hard it is when your mind starts telling you that you’re a burden. I want to gently reflect back that needing support in moments like this doesn’t make you a burden, it means you’re going through something really intense and you’re trying to get through it as best you can.
I’m glad you’re reaching back out to the crisis service, even though it hasn’t felt easy. You deserve to be met with care and support when things feel this overwhelming.
It also sounds like you’re trying hard to stay connected and grounded right now, even while your brain is pushing you towards shutting down. Keeping Casper close and focusing on calming yourself in small ways is important in moments like this.
Are you able to focus on just one small thing in the room right now, something you can see or feel, just to help anchor you a little while you’re waiting for support?
