Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@NightFury totally understand the frustrations around the forums at the moment. Mine seems to have corrected the constant logging out issue but I'm still unable to tag random people at times.

Oh sweet Luna, I get the fear of them getting older and losing them. Is she on any medications to help her with the pain? I know there's also alot of natural treatments that people swear by for their pets when it comes to arthritis.

Hi @tyme

Luna is 9. She was diagnosed with Arthritis when she was 3. It was early onset, as a result of injury during birth. She fell up the stairs outside on Tuesday because her back legs gave out on her, she didn't really want to go for a walk yesterday. It's hard. She's my world, she's my heart.

Yeah, it is tedious, but it's all I've got at the moment.

Re: Battles

She used to be on natural joint supplements @MissGremlin she hasn't been on them for a while now. She was coping well, but the Tassie weather is hard for her this year.

Re: Battles

@NightFury can imagine the cold weather wouldn't be helping in the slightest. Maybe the supplements could be helpful for her especially while the weather is so cold. Does she have a heated bed at all as that might help to ease it a little aswell.

Sending both you and her lots of hugs ❤️.

Re: Battles

She sleeps in my bed @MissGremlin and when I'm not home, she sleeps on the couch. She doesn't use her bed. Lol. The couch is her bed, my chair is her bed, my bed is her bed.

Re: Battles

@NightFury haha can relate with Casper. He has a bed and the only time he uses it is if i give him a carrot and he chews it on his bed 😂.

Re: Battles

I wouldn't have it any other way @MissGremlin I have paw prints in my bed, dogga hair on stuff and I sit on the floor while she lays on the couch.

Re: Battles

Oh no @NightFury .

Poor Luna.

And we all know that if you don't move when you have arthritis, then the pain increases. It's hard.

Re: Battles

@NightFury that makes 2 of us. Casper sleeps on my pillow while my head gets a little corner of it but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Re: Battles

That's why I've been really strict with walking of a morning @tyme we don't walk far, but it keeps her joints moving.

It's just so hard to see her get older.
