Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@NightHedgehog it's a really horrible feeling to be sitting with. I'm trying to keep my breathing steady as it can help ease the nausea. There's different strategies that I do to try to ease the feeling of when i actually feel like I'm going to be sick. I haven't been sick or felt this close to being sick for many years so it's really overwhelming right now. I've taken anti nausea meds aswell to hopefully settle things down. I'm doing everything I can to get through this, just hoping the feelings pass soon. Thankyou for your reply and the suggestions.

Re: Battles

I also loved the pic of Casper!! He’s so cute!! @MissGremlin

I’m alright 😊, thanks for asking still pretty drowsy. Can’t stay awake for long but feel today I have been able to stay a bit more awake for longer which had been good. I’m surprised it’s Friday actually.
I keep thinking I didn’t even make it to counting re the anaesthetic 😂 just knocked out cold and fast lol.
How’s your day been?

@Chasingsunsets he's sitting on his bed nibbling his claws at the moment 😂. Remind you of someone?😂.

I'm glad you're doing alright and it sounds like things are slowly improving. It really doesn't feel like Friday to me strangely enough. Haha i don't remember anything from when I went under anaesthesia 😂.

My days been a bit tough but I've been doing my diamond art and staying connected here.

Re: Battles

Hahha @MissGremlin yesss reminds me of someone 😂.

Thanks I do feel a bit better today cognitively but still feel along way from baseline yet. I didn’t expect to be this drowsy post- it’s my first anaesthetic but the surgery went for longer and I took longer to wake up than expected so maybe the anaesthetic doctor was nice to me and made sure I was well under lol. All I remember him saying was you’ll feel something soon, I was like ah ok I so feel something let me know when you put the other stuff then out cold. Lol
Not sure how I feel about a gap in my memory it’s a really odd feeling. The concept of anaesthetic was another really odd concept but I was pretty tired that day as I didn’t get much sleep before the op. Anyway all interesting things I guess!

sorry it’s been a rough day for you, glad you are staying connected here and doing your Dimond art, I must say I have missed Auntglow being around I’d have to say, but that ok it’s just how it goes I guess.

I don’t have any plans for my days head just recovery and trying to manage it by myself. Bit tough at times since my brain still isn’t fully functional but no other choice haha. It’s nice to be with Indi though 💜🐶

Re: Battles

@Chasingsunsets the sound is rather annoying 😂.

I've only been under once and don't remember much from it but I do know that the memory gap in between is a really odd feeling. They had to give me something first to help cos I was really anxious about it and from then I can't remember anything until I woke up. I was really nauseous first and scared I was going to be sick but the nurse sat with me and got me to do some breathing with her and the feeling passed.

I've really missed the PSW's being around like they used to and yes AuntGlow is one i miss, I was lucky to catch jynx for a bit though.

You're doing well sweet, i know it's tough especially with feeling like your brain isn't fully functional. Hoping it keeps getting better each day, I'm glad you've got Indi with you and I'm always here for you too ❤️.

Re: Battles

Haha @MissGremlin I can completely empathise with the noise of DYI nail trimming from our dogs 😂 that sound 🤪

yeah I am glad I’m not the only one to think the memory gap is a bit strange. I also had something pre as the concept of an anaesthetic was a lot. I like my control so it was a challenging place to siting knowing I’d be out of control. Unfortunately I had a couple of things collide the night/early morning of the surgery as-well re memories so that was interesting too- love how sometimes everything comes at once 😜. I was really lucky when I woke up I didn’t feel much pain and no nausea but I woke up worried about every ones breaks 😂. Worried that they needed to have there’s or something 😂. I woke up a bit panicked as I couldn’t see properly but they said they put stuff in my eyes cos it was long and when I saw the time I was worried as I expected to be done at 3.30 and it was 7.45. So not sure how calm I woke from it, I think straight into a stress response to be honest but even being so drowsy I knew the response I was in and was fine knowing where I was at.

Yeah I am glad I’m not the only one feeling it re psws. Any change with anything I feel it like a brick to the body, it’s pretty interesting. I have had interactions with Jynx and Tyme but not Auntglow recently but that ok, it’s how it goes. Because I can’t get on at regular times I’m sure that has a lot to do with it as-well plus a lot of other factors. Not sure I am seeing positives of these changes or is that just me?

thanks re my brain maybe take some of my responses with a grain of salt still not 💯 lol. So good chatting thanks for being around too very much appreciated 💜🙏

Re: Battles

@Chasingsunsets yes the noise makes me cringe 😂.

Oh sweet, it sounds like waking up was a bit all over the place. Not being able to see properly would have felt scary I'd imagine. It's a really strange feeling both going into anaesthesia and waking up from it but you got through it sweet.

Yes i can relate to the changes hitting hard espescially when there wasn't really any communication about. I'm afraid to say that I'm not seeing any positive in the changes but I am seeing alot of negative ones. There's quite a few members of the community that have struggled with the changes.

Your responses are just fine ☺️. It's always lovely to chat to you, take care of yourself sweet ❤️.

Re: Battles

Haha yeah it’s all good I laugh at the fact I was worried about everyone’s breaks 😂. Part of work looking after your colleagues, make sure everyone is ok and make sure everyone has their breaks so not surprising that was one of the first concerns when I woke up from the anaesthetic 😂😂. I just wasn’t at work lol Glad I didn’t wake up fighting or anything lol, glad I was pleasant 😂 lol.

Hmm yes I have been wondering about these changes. 🤔

What’s on for your night 🙏
