Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

I know that inability to find words.

my RSD is having a party at my expense whilst lots of thoughts are running marathons in my head

Re: Battles

How was it to talk with your support worker, even for a little bit? @MissGremlin

It sounds like you are acknowledging your limits today and still showing up for yourself where you can - this is great!! 🫶

Re: Battles

@AuntGlow I really wasn't feeling it with my support worker today. She asked if I'd heard back from any of the psychology places which I haven't and I very briefly talked about what's been happening. I just really want to shut-down and shut everyone out. I so desperately wanted help but not being able to get it has left me wanting to not bother trying anymore. I feel like I'm at the end of the road, there's nothing more I can do other than accept my fate.

I'm safe for the moment, doing my bedtime routine.

Re: Battles

Hey @MissGremlin I'm sorry you're feeling so let down. First off I think it's okay to feel upset, angry, and also to feel like you want to give up. It's okay to take a step back and take a breather for a week or more if you feel like you need to.

Secondly I want to encourage you to take a moment to picture what it would feel like to find that support you're looking for - and think about how grateful you would be to yourself for not giving up. I know it's hard and feels like you're not getting what you are looking for but it doesn't mean that support doesn't exist.

Glad you're winding down, I hope you're keeping Casper close.

Re: Battles

Hello @Jynx, the last couple of weeks have been really full on with meetings and other things so I've barely had a chance to rest. I was going to cancel my support worker today but decided to at least try to push through and see if I could manage, after 30 minutes I'd had enough. I don't cope with seeing people every single day, it just drains me completely very quickly. My routine has also been messed up alot lately which throws me out of whack.

Once the inspection is done tomorrow then I don't have anything on for a while so fingers crossed that will give me a chance to recharge a bit.

This is where I really struggle, I used to know exactly what I wanted and needed. But not being able to access that has left me unsure what support would even look like for me now. I had a psychologist previously and I was doing ok for a few years until things fell apart. I've tried so many medications but they either don't work or i have severe reactions to them. I can't do any kind of groups cos of my anxiety. So I'm really not sure what options are even left for me.

How are you doing sweet?
