Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

We can build it together @MissGremlin though I already want to apologise because it might have to be a slow build. I really only have weekends and my fortnight RDO's to work on it.

I'm sorry you have a headache. Headaches are hard work and they make all the things feel harder.

I'm home now. I've just spent some time throwing a ball to Luna. I have tea cooked from tomorrow night, so I'm looking forward to some relaxing tonight. I did not sleep well last night, so...some down time is needed.

Re: Battles

@NightFury no need to apologise, I'm more than happy to take it slowly ☺️.

Headaches are horrible. I've started having a massive panic attack, I went from being ok to shaking, struggling to breathe, my heart pounding, it all hit so suddenly and I don't even know why (I'm safe). Trying to calm myself down while mid doing dinner.

Throwing the ball with Luna sounds fun and I'm sure she loved it. Yay for having dinner from last night, you definitely deserve some down time. Hoping you can get a good night's sleep tonight sweetheart ❤️.

Re: Battles

I'm over the nights of not being able to sleep. I've had 2 hours of very broken sleep so far tonight. My right eye is so sore as a result and I'm fighting back tears. I keep waking up panicky and shaky, it's really not nice. I'm sitting with some heavy and dark thoughts at the moment aswell as the panic, it's hard trying to find the energy to calm the panic and fight the thoughts at the same time. I've been feeling disconnected from myself alot tonight and had hallucinations which gets a bit scary. I've tried so hard to stay present, remind myself that I'm safe and get sleep but it's been a struggle. Feeling alone, anxious and scared so just keeping the connection here to try to help.

I'm safe and snuggled up in bed with Casper.

Re: Battles

I'm glad your safe and snuggled up to Casper at the moment @MissGremlin ! I've been complaining about getting four hours sleep and now I feel empathetic guilt. I can't imagine waking up with panic attacks and fear. No wonder your body doesn't want to sleep. I'm here with you. Sending gentle hugs and much love 💚

Re: Battles

Awww sweet @heartathome, even 4 hours is not enough sleep. The panic attacks are so horrible to wake up with. I saw your message earlier but couldn't find the words to reply, I was still trying so hard to get a bit more sleep. I've managed to get 4 hours but my right eye is so red and sore and my head is pounding (I'm safe). Thankyou for the love and hugs sweetheart and sending lots to you aswell, how you have a lovely day ❤️.

Think today is going to be one i take very gently, one little step at a time.

Re: Battles

I've been thinking @MissGremlin Do you think the soreness, headaches and hallucinations you're experiencing are partly from a lack of sleep? A memory came to me about a time I had a headache for four months. I tried everything naturally to get rid of it, including a new bed. It took my psych who picked up a lack of sleep and put me on a sleeper. It's worked for years but I think I've got a tolerance for it now and need to think about where I'll go from here. The time change hasn't helped. It also makes for a long day!! No need to reply if you have no words. I can totally relate and understand! 💚

Re: Battles

@heartathome i have no doubt that some of it is from a lack of sleep. But then what can you do when you can't take medications to help you sleep and everything natural doesn't help. My doctor hasn't bothered doing a referral for a sleep study despite me asking him many times. Thing is even when I do manage to have a decent night's sleep i still get the headaches/migraines.
