Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Oh that’s cool that your room is tin @MissGremlin. I love my tins roof. The rain is amazing!

Im glad it makes sense to someone! 😜

Im sorry about your car and everything is just

too much right now. At least you have Casper. I know that’s not a lot of comfort but hopefully it’s a little bit.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin beautiful, it seems like every bad thing keeps falling into your lap. I am going to do some intercessory prayer later, which means I will be focussing solely on you. I hope this is okay, let me know if it makes you uncomfortable darling heart, that is the last thing I want.

Did you manage to resolve your issues with housing? I've missed a few days here and there so I'm not up to date with everything happening.

Have you got something to give you comfort aside from Harry Potter tonight, or will it help to have it on repeat in the background?

I am definitely affected by SAD. I bought a mood light last year to help with the dark weather and I am hoping this winter I'll be able to snuggle into my warm clothes and blankeys. For the past few years going through the 'pause I've been too hot to wear warm clothes but I've since changed my HRT so the flushes and overheating have been better.

I don't have a tin roof unfortunately, much as I love it. The house where I lived with ex friend had a tin roof, I loved being snuggled in bed in winter with Mal and ex friends' cat Aslan snuggled together beside me, a good book in hand.

Hope you're feeling a bit better this evening xoxo

@Captain24 the rain is definitely amazing to listen to on tin roofs. It's relaxing.

I'm glad to be home with Casper, I just want things to settle down so I can catch my breath a bit.

Re: Battles

@ENKELI it really does and I'm exhausted, I just want a break, a chance to catch my breath and process everything that's happened. That is completely ok with me sweet and i truly appreciate it ❤️.

The housing issue is still up in the air. Whilst I've signed the lease at the $475 amount I know i can't afford it so give it a couple of payments and then I'm going to be in arrears and end up getting served an eviction notice.

I have my diamond art that I'll work on soon, just hoping my migraine eases cos 3 days of it is enough.

I'm sorry you get affected by SAD, i know the dark and gloomy weather can have a huge impact on people. For me i love the gloomy weather, it brings me comfort. I'm glad the hot flushes and overheating has been better, hopefully you get to snuggle with warm clothes and a blankey.

There's something really relaxing about the rain on a tin roof, I actually sleep better when it's raining cos I love the sound of it.

As for feeling better, I'm just sitting watching Harry potter and trying to nibble on the chicken that I cooked.

Re: Battles

I actually have an app on my phone that has a ‘rain on a tim roof’ track. @MissGremlin. I use it to sleep often.

I hope things settle down for you soon. You deserve a break

Re: Battles

@Captain24 that's so cool having the app on your phone. For some reason I can't handle the sounds unless they are in real life.

I hope so too, thankyou sweet ❤️

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin much to my annoyance, I am definitely my fathers' child. He had depression and SAD as well as PTSD. He suggested I see a psychiatrist to see if I also suffer from PTSD because he reckoned it could be hereditary. It annoys me greatly because of all 5 of his kids I'm the only one with mental health issues. I haven't done anything about seeing a psychiatrist for PTSD as I don't believe I have it. I'm not big on self diagnosing, especially complex disorders such as mental illness.

Have you got medication for your migraine? Having one for 3 days I can imagine must be so debilitating, though it sounds like all the stress in your life is manifesting as a migraine. I can only hope and pray it disappears.
Things have to change for the better for you beautiful, I am definitely praying for improvement for you.

Hugs xoxo

Hey @MissGremlin ,

Thinking about you. It's just so great to see all the amazing support from so many members who really care about you.

It may feel like there's no support 'out there', but just know that we care

Re: Battles

@ENKELI i can understand the annoyance around it sweet, it's hard when mental health issues can both be hereditary but also can affect single people within a family aswell. Self diagnosing can be tricky cos alot of mental health issues have symptoms that overlap, I'm diagnosed with many but self diagnosed with autism and adhd (only cos i can't afford a diagnosis) and that was after speaking to a psychologist and my doctor about it and they have no doubts that I have them.

I have taken pain relief for it the past 3 days but it hasn't made a difference, I do have a medication that's on prescription for pain relief which is what I've taken. It's both the stress of everything going on and also the lack of sleep. Thankyou sweet, I'm really hoping things do start getting better.

Hoping things are better for you soon too sweetheart. Hugs to you beautiful ❤️.

Hello @tyme, thankyou. I'm really glad I have the support of the community here, I just wish I could get the physical support that I need too.

Hope you're doing ok.
