Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@Blackcloud see i like the loudness of concert music but shopping centres get too loud for me. I think it's cos music i can handle but other repetitive or constant noise gets too overwhelming for me and then I become sensitive to every little sound.

Re: Battles

@Flutterbug9 i can relate to the pitch sensitive, there's certain noises that send me into overload instantly. My phone charges emits a high pitch noise that others can't seem to hear but it drives me nuts, same as the weird bug/rodent deterrent things that you plug into the wall.

I'm much the same, things I've done to cope that I just thought were normal all come down to autistic traits. But for me getting a diagnosis isn't possible and wouldn't change anything anyway. My doctor has said that both autism and adhd are there without a doubt but getting a diagnosis isn't worth it due to the cost.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin oooh yeah I definitely get that as well. Music is very satisfying to hear and listen to at anywhere 🎵🌿☺️ and it’s also good for the soul 🌿🌎🌱

Re: Battles

@Flutterbug9 the Loop Earbuds is what I also use for whenever I’m at concerts, cinemas or in the arcade - so environments where the sound and music is extremely loud & it’s a must-have that I need these earplugs to protect my hearing ☺️

I think talking about the google search to your psychologist can be helpful too as they’ll be able to provide you insight & help you to know and discover more about it.

I hope your next appointment with your psychiatrist goes well too. ❤️

Re: Battles

Definitely is expensive. I haven’t discussed it with my GP. TBH, not sure I want to/ feel comfortable about doing so. My GP has been really good and understanding. Recently I’ve found myself having to follow up getting referrals done or having wording on referrals corrected

my GP is also palliative care Dr who is is listed as on call availability with different places. I’ve never known my GP to get to her GP practice until at least 1hr after her first appointment. different times I’ve felt she has rushed in my appointment with her.

ive sent a message to a local firm who does assessments for autism and adhd asking them a few questions.

I enjoyed the movie this afternoon. No enjoying the headache that I’ve got which could be as a result of watching the movie. 🤕😢.

thanks for the info about the loop earbuds.

Re: Battles

@Jynx this reminded me of a conversation we had a while ago where glow sticks were mentioned ☺️.

Re: Battles

@Flutterbug9 that sounds frustrating with the gp. I'm sorry you've felt rushed with your appointments, I know that's never a nice feeling.

Hope you can get some answers back.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie but sorry you've got a headache, hope some rest will help sweetheart. Gentle hugs ❤️

Re: Battles

Chugging along @MissGremlin hehe. Had a nice (but at times intense) time with my family, now just settling back into routine. Saw you've had a rough one today, I hope you are snuggled up with Casper now and taking it easy 💜
