Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

@AuntGlow i haven't seen younger. I've just started watching true blood again. I'm worried though that when I'm putting a movie on I'm putting it on like 4-5 times a day, so just watching it on repeat cos I can't stand the thought of change.

I'm still yet to have a shower, I really need to before the concert tomorrow night but I'm struggling to get myself in there.

I had to go to the shops so only just got home but he is with me now.

Glad you are doing well, can relate to the sleepiness. Hope you can get a good night's rest tonight ❤️

Hello lovely. How are you? 🫶

Thank you for sharing your poetry with me, as always. @MissGremlin

Ahh, True Blood is soo nostalgic for me. Very wild, but always a laugh too. Who is your favourite character??

Putting on something comforting is really clever grounding, actually. If it helps to soothe your nervous system, you're allowed to listen/watch it as much as you need - no shame required. 😉

Did you end up going to the concert?

And thank you, I am noticing less sleepiness the more I am doing things that connect me deeper to myself - interesting, hey? 💛

Hello @Captain24 sweet, I'm sorry that the poem was upsetting. It's hard to read them myself at times cos it shows just how real the pain inside is.

I'm sorry I haven't been around, I've completely shut down here (I'm safe). It's been constant bad things happening and it's pushed me too the edge.

Hello @ENKELI sweetheart, you were very much missed here. Big hugs to you beautiful ❤️.

So much has been happening here but nothing good (I'm safe).

How are you feeling sweet? Here for you ❤️

Re: Battles

Hello @AuntGlow, things are really bad for me at the moment, I'm not coping. I had an emergency vet visit with Casper yesterday morning after he swallowed a sock so that was very scary, he was given the injection to make him vomit which thankfully worked and it came up. Tuesday was a string of bad events which then continued through to Wednesday, I'm completely exhausted and I'm at the end of my tether (I'm safe)

True blood is good, I don't have a favourite character though.

I understand that but it's become obsessive, like i physically can't change to watching something else. Thing is I'm not even watching it when it's on, it's just noise in the background.

Yes i went to the concert, it was good but it was hard to actually enjoy it given everything that's going on.

That's interesting, but it sounds like it's helping which is good.

Hi @MissGremlin popping in to say very quick "hello". I need to go to bed and haven't had time to read you or @NightFury or @Captain24 yet 😓 - but please know none of you are forgotten or deliberately ignored!

I've been away the past 2 weeks plus so many medical appointments & paperwork as well as being a bit all over the place myself (both good and bad).

What is it with black labradors and eating socks? Mine used to do it too! Thankfully mine never had any problems passing them through - and the first time I didn't even know she had eaten one until I saw the remains when cleaning up the poop in the yard! Silly dogs! We also had a different Labrador that once chewed a pin cushion - seriously?!

Hope Casper is fully recovered now.
Sorry to hear it is has been a really really hard start to the week for you. Sending much care & hugs.

Re: Battles

Hello @AlwaysMyself sweet, I've missed hearing from you but I haven't been around myself alot on here with all the changes plus things going on.

I've still been reading your posts and trying to keep up with what is happening in your world.

My other labs have eaten random things but never socks. I wouldn't have been worried if he'd chewed it first but it's the fact that he swallowed it completely whole. Knowing if it had gotten stuck and required surgery i would have been in the position to let him go as i don't have the finances for it so getting it out as quick as possible was the best option. Oh no the pin cushion, my last girl ate a sewing needle with the string attached, thankfully after xrays and an endoscopy they were able to pull it out.

Casper when we got home after the vet went into zoomie mode as soon as we walked in the door, completely oblivious to the stress he'd just caused 😂.

Thankyou sweet, sending you love and hugs too ❤️.

@MissGremlin you're my favourite gremlin.

My absence wasn't by choice sweetheart, I really desperately wanted to find out how you were going but wasn't able to.

I didn't cope well with the pause, Saturday on I didn't want to be around anymore but I am safe and feeling heaps better now I'm finally allowed back on to see how you are.

What's happening with housing?

Re: Battles

@ENKELI i completely understand sweet, I've been in the situation many times before myself (I won't say anything more as I don't want to get in trouble).

I actually have no idea what's happening, I haven't heard from my land agent. The lease runs out tomorrow and I'm completely sitting in limbo which is incredibly scary.

Re: Battles

Hello @Chasingsunsets, kind of snuck it in there 😂.

It's all good, he had a good birthday and loved his presents. Awww both our babies having their birthdays in March.

It was very much a freak accident as usually if he gets hold of them he just plays with them but this time it just went that little bit too far and I don't think he could get it out so he swallowed. Very glad that it came out quickly though and definitely keeping socks well and truly out of reach now.

Hope you are doing ok sweet?
